Sam turned away from the body wrapped in shroud when Dean lit the match. Seven-year-old Hope Foster had been possessed and missing for six months. They couldn't save her.
"There's only so much we can do," Dean reminds Sam as the small, broken body burns.
"She must have been terrified, trapped in her own body like that, seeing all those horrible things. Her parents, they'll never know what happened to their little girl."
"Probably for the best," Dean replied, fighting to remember the smiling girl from the pictures in the missing person's report and forgetting the demon that broke her.
