Be Careful Who You Trust

Lucius Malfoy hires Voldemort, to attack Harry Potter, Professor Dumbledore, and their friends. However, Hermione is ready to challenge Voldemort and Lucius is clueless, about Voldemort secretly working for someone else.

Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ronald Weasley were at Hogwarts, along with most of their classmates. Draco Malfoy was missing, for unknown reasons. They were at an assembly, that was being hosted by Professor Dumbledore and Professor Umbridge. The kids kind of enjoyed what Dumbledore had to say, but Umbridge was a pain to listen to. Harry and Ron were tempted, to stop paying attention and sneaking out of the classroom. However, Hermione stopped them from doing that. Hermione really cared about her two friends, but she often got mad at their immaturity. In recent weeks, she had been supporting them and had been trying to help them act like responsible people.

Ron whispered, "If we just snuck out for a couple of minutes, that might be okay."

Harry whispered, "Not a bad idea."

Hermione overheard them and whispered back, "You better not try that."

Meanwhile, Lucius Malfoy had hired Lord Voldemort, to defeat Harry Potter, Professor Albus Dumbledore, and their friends, so he could prove he's the one who controls Hogwarts, not them. Hiring Voldemort was a very irresponsible and dangerous idea, but Lucius was an overconfident jerk, so he gave Voldemort a shot. Lucius was unaware that Voldemort was working for another boss, who had plans of his own.

Lucius and Voldemort broke into Hogwarts and went into the assembly room. Harry and Ron weren't the bravest of students, so they ran to the broom closet. Hermione followed them, so she could protect them. However, Voldemort came into the broom closet. He picked up Harry and wanted to beat him up, but Hermione Granger punched Voldemort to the ground. Harry almost fell to the ground, but Hermione grabbed him and helped him stand up. Harry looked at her and said, "You're my hero." She smiled at him.

Voldemort looked at Hermione and said, "You need to scram. I have no interest in fighting you."

Hermione asked, "Why not?"

Voldemort said, "My boss' instructions are for you to remain unharmed. It's not a rule that I love, but I'm willing to obey it."

Lucius had a confused look on his face, because he had Voldemort to hurt all of Harry's friends, including Hermione. He used his cane, to tap Voldemort's shoulder. He had a snobbish tone of voice, while saying, "Voldemort, what are you doing? You aren't supposed to spare any of Harry's sidekicks."

Hermione replied, "I'm not a sidekick."

Harry said, "That's for sure."

Ron responded, "I hate to admit it, but Hermione's a lot cooler than we are."

Harry said, "Ron's right. Without Hermione, we'd lose." Hermione had a proud smile on her face.

Voldemort pointed his wand at Lucius and said, "Lucius Malfoy, don't forget your place in the wizarding world. You worked for me. I'm not employed by you. In fact, I've been hired by someone else."

Lucius raised an eyebrow and asked, "Who hired you?"

Voldemort answered, "None of your business." He used his wand, to blast Lucius to the ground.

Lucius got up. He faced Voldemort and said, "Perhaps, we can work on a new business deal. You can get rid of Harry and the others, but you have to spare my life. If you do that, I'll give you three million dollars."

Voldemort replied, "Nice offer, but it's less than what my boss is offering me." He punched Lucius.

Hermione looked at Harry and Ron and said, "Please go."

Ron Weasley asked, "Did I make you mad again?"

Hermione said, "That's not the reason I want you to leave. Voldemort's trying to get rid of you, Dumbledore, and Lucius, so you guys need to hide. Voldemort can't fight me, so fighting him will be an easy treat."

Harry replied, "Okay then. Best of luck."

Hermione smiled and said, "Thanks."

Harry and Ron started walking out of the broom closet. Lucius saw that, so he ran after them. Harry turned around and asked, "What do you want?"

Lucius said, "The end of you."

Harry replied, "Wow, you're evil."

Lucius smacked Hary and asked, "Do you think that I care about morality? My greatest desire has always been money."

Harry thought about himself, Dumbledore, and Draco's dad. Dumbledore loved money too, but he also cared about people. Lucius didn't seem to care about anybody. Lucius had a great lack of morality. Harry and Ron were starting to realize, that Hermione wanted them to be better people, so that he wouldn't end up like Lucius.

Ron tapped Lucius's head and asked, "What's your backstory?"

Lucius said, "Excuse me?"

Ron replied, "Dude, you have to have a reason for being evil. You must of had a bad breakup or an evil parent."

Lucius responded, "You are quite wrong, my dear enemy. I've been indifferent to mankind, since I was a kid. The kids would play on the playground, while I planned my future career. I've become richer than any of my other classmates, more powerful too."

Harry asked, "Powerful? You're easily beaten by every physical threat."

Lucius replied, "I may not be physically powerful, but I have the power to hire anybody I want."

Harry smirked and said, "You hired Dan, who's trying to get rid of you."

Lucius had an evil smile on his face, while saying, "I've hired better people."

Harry asked, "Who?"

Lucius replied, "Professor Dolores Umbridge. She have no interest in helping Professor Dumbledore. I hired her to give Dumbledore terrible ideas, about how to run Hogwarts. That way, he'd have ideas, that will bankrupt him." He did a villainous laugh.

Ron had a smug smile on his face, while saying, "Your plan backfired. Professor Umbridge's product ideas are making Dumbledore tons of money. Plus, you've revealed your own villain plan. I'm going to tell Dumbledore, who's going to have you punished." Harry and Ron started running away, but Lucius ran after them.

Meanwhile, Hermione punched and kicked Voldemort. She said, "You should give up on your career. Trying to fight Harry, Dumbledore, Ron, and Lucius is a foolish idea, because I'm always going to protect them."

Voldemort replied, "That's foolish of you. Their lives don't matter."

Hermione punched Voldemort across the broom closet. She grabbed a broom and used it to hit Voldemort. She got out a pair of handcuffs, but Voldemort grabbed them and ripped them in half. Hermione said, "Your strength is impressive."

Voldemort replied, "It sure is." He started walking out of the broom closet.

Hermione asked, "Where are you going?"

Voldemort said, "I'm going to find my enemies and get rid of them." Hermione started running after him, so he started running too.

Voldemort went to the party room. He looked around and saw Lucius chasing Harry and Ron. Hermione saw that too, so she ran up to Lucius, and punched him to the ground. Harry looked at her and said, "Nice work."

Hermione replied, "Thank you."

Harry ran up to Dumbledore and said, "We've got some problems."

Dumbledore asked, "What's going on?"

Harry said, "Lucius Malfoy hired Professor Umbridge. She's not a good businesswoman. She's been wanting to scam us. Also, Voldemort's back and he's trying to get rid of us."

Dumbledore replied, "Voldemort's quite the evil jerk. He needs to cut it out."

Voldemort calmly said, "You don't have to worry about. I'm planning on stopping soon. I'm going to defeat you today, so this'll be our last fight."

Harry looked at Voldemort and replied, "You better scram."

Voldemort asked, "What will happen if I don't scram?"

Harry tried to look and sound cool, while saying, "You'll have to fight me."

Voldemort replied, "Bring it on."

Harry punched and kicked Voldemort. He tried to put effort into his fight moves, but it didn't hurt Voldemort that much. Voldemort was an expert, when it came to fight moves, so he was prepared for Harry's attack. He grabbed Harry and threw him into the drink table. The crowd was surprised by what was going on.

Hermione walked up Harry and helped him get up. She asked, "Why did you try to fight Voldemort?"

Harry said, "I was trying to be the type of guy, that'd you like. I was trying to be nice, charming, brave, and cool."

Hermione patted Harry, on the back, and replied, "It's okay. You've been making improvements and I want you to make more, but you don't have to be a great fighter. Stay safe."

Harry replied, "Don't worry about it."

Hermione pointed to Voldemort and faced the crowd. She said, "This is Voldemort, one of the most infamous villains in the world. He's been a crime boss and an impressive fighter, for over twenty years. He's super dangerous, so I recommend leaving and looking for officers from other cities. We could use backup."

Harry's uncle, Vernon Dursley stepped up and replied, "Backup isn't needed."

Hermione asked, "What do you mean?"

Vernon walked up to Voldemort. Vernon said, "You seem to be quite the impressive fighter."

Petunia said, "My husband and I have had lots of good fighters. However, they were also good looking, which made Vernon jealous. Thankfully, you're average looking, so you're the type of guard we want."

Voldemort asked, "You think that I have interest in working for you. My boss wouldn't mind me getting rid of you."

Vernon put his arm around Dan and asked, "Are you the type of person that loves money?"

Voldemort answered, "Yes."

Petunia had an excited look on her face, while saying, "That's excellent news."

Vernon said, "We'll pay you more money than your current boss, if you become our new guard."

Voldemort had a doubtful look on his face, while asking, "Can you afford that?"

Vernon replied, "I'm the richest person in New York City. We can pay you a few million, per month."

Voldemort responded, "Very well then." Voldemort shook Vernon and Petunia's hands.

Hermione walked up to Vernon and Petunia and said, "Hold on. You hired one of the most dangerous criminals in the world."

Vernon replied, "His previous career doesn't matter to me."

Hermione asked, "What's wrong with you people?"

Vernon had a smug smile on his face, while saying, "People, as rich as me, don't have to worry about problems, because we can always buy a solution."

Petunia walked up to Dudley Dursley and said, "Let's get going."

Dudley replied, "I'm glad this party's over." He walked by Hermione and said, "By the way, you're beautiful."

Hermione replied, "Oh, thank you." Vernon and Petunia Dursley started heading back to their mansion, along with Dudley and Voldemort.

Harry walked up to Hermione and asked, "Does this mean that we won't have to deal with Voldemort anymore?"

Hermione said, "I hope so, but it's good to be prepared."

Harry looked at her and said, "You're full of good lessons. You've taught me quite a few things."

Hermione smiled and replied, "You're welcome."

Professor Dumbledore walked by and said, "Harry, I've got the richest of news."

Harry asked, "What is it?"

Dumbledore said, "The new inventions helped us get two million dollars. Professor Umbridge had bad intentions, but she helped us a lot."

Harry replied, "You keep hiring and coming up with great ideas. You're quite the businessman, boss, and father figure."

Dumbledore said, "And you're quite the employee and son."

Hermione looked around and saw that Professor Gilderoy Lockhart was at the snack stand. He often claimed he could defeat Voldemort, so Hermione was upset she didn't fight him. She walked up to him and asked, "How come you didn't help me fight Voldemort?"

Professor Lockhart said, "I was guarding the other areas of the room."

Hermione sighed and replied, "You have a lot to work on."

Ron walked by and said, "He's got potential, like me." Fred and Jon high-fived.

Meanwhile, Voldemort was in the Dursley's limo and was giving his boss a call. The boss picked up his phone and said, "Hi Voldemort. What's going on?"

Voldemort replied, "My employment is going to be over, at least for a while."

The boss asked, "Why?"

Voldemort said, "I got an offer from Vernon and Petunia Dursley. They have more money than you, so I had to accept their offer."

The boss replied, "I see. I'm disappointed in you, but you were quite the opponent to my enemies. Goodbye for now."

Hermione was about to walk out of the assembly room. Fred asked, "Can I walk you home?"

Hermione said, "I live in Hogwarts, so it wouldn't be much of a walk."

Harry replied, "I do too, so this was a dumb offer."

Hermione responded, "It wasn't dumb. You have nice intentions and I'm glad about that. You have a lot of potential, Harry. I hope that you live up too."

Harry replied, "I think I'm going to try."

Ron responded, "Me too."

Hermione said, "Try to do less pranks."

Ron replied, "Don't worry about it." Hermione high-fived Harry and walked out.

Professor Dumbledore walked up to Harry and asked, "How are things going?"

Harry said, "Better than before. Hermione's starting to like me more and I'm starting to appreciate life more."

Lucius walked out of the party room, while saying, "Voldemort isn't going to be antagonizing against Harry, Dumbledore, and me. I will miss him beating Harry up, but him leaving is a great breakthrough. I'll get to defeat my Harry, Dumbledore, and the others, by myself. They're going to be put out of business and I will become the richest person, that the wizarding world has ever had." He did an evil laugh.

A few hours later, Draco Malfoy was about to go to sleep, but her cellphone rang. He sighed and answered the phone. He said, "I don't know who's there, but I hope you speak quickly."

Voldemort's former boss replied, "Hi Draco. I have a strong hatred for the people of Hogwarts and I suspect that you do too."

Draco responded, "You suspected correctly."

The boss replied, "I have a master plan and it involves the end of all of this business garbage. I want you to play an essential part. You would have to be rough, dangerous, corrupt, sneaky, and goofy. Are you interested?"

Draco had a wicked smile on his face, while saying, "Awesome offer." He did an evil laugh. Draco had trust issues, so he figured he should know who his new boss is. He asked, "Who are you? I have high-standards, so if you don't tell me your real name, I won't accept your offer."

The boss said, "My daughter is one of your classmates. I'm Mr. Granger."
