Annabeth sat at her table admiring how Percy Jackson's hair fell across his face. She had never noticed until this moment how he ran his and through his hair and then sighed and looked around at the other tables with what could only be resentment. She thought it must have been lonely sitting at a table by himself, and wondered if there would ever be another person to sit with him. As she was thinking to herself, Chiron stood in centaur form and started making announcements. There was going to be capture the flag on Monday, and Tuesday was the chariot races. The last announcement made everyone look up from his or her plates and start talking.

"And finally, today's lunch is going to a "mix up." he paused to let all of them think this through, "so get up and switch tables." No one moved for a few seconds until one of the Hermes kids got up and walked to sit with one of the Aphrodite's girls. Others soon followed the example and Annabeth looked over to where the satyrs ate. Grover met her eyes and they nodded together. They picked up their lunches and moved to Percy's table. Percy didn't notice them because he was moving his food around his plate with his fork. Annabeth cleared her throat, and Percy looked up. He noticed them and wondered why they were sitting there.

"It's mix up day. So we can sit anywhere." Grover explained.

"Oh. Okay… um, why sit with me?" Percy asked.

"Duh, Seaweed Brain. We're your friends. Of course we would sit with you."

"You don't have to. I know you have other friends."

"You really don't get it Percy. We are your friends and if others don't realize how great you are then they are just clueless." Annabeth stated trying to keep her cheeks from turning red.
