Chapter one: An Announcement
Harry, Ron and Hermione were all sitting at the Griffindor house table eating breakfast. Hermione was reading the Daily Prophet and Ron was stuffing his face with as much food as possible when Harry said "I think I'll ask Ginny out on a date."
Hermione dropped The Prophet and stared at Harry. This was quite a better reaction then Ron had. He seemed to be chocking, yet still seemed to be frozen in place.
After a very long silence, Hermione was the first to speak. "Well Harry, that's your decision. After all she is single."
"I thought that she was with Dean" said Ron with a questionable look not forgetting that his best friend just said that he wants to ask his little sister out.
"Honestly Ron, you should talk to your sister, that's been over for weeks. She dumped him when he thought she was crying, but she was really trying not to laugh at the way he flew in Quiditch try-outs." Under her breath Hermione added a quiet but distinctive "boys".
After what seemed to be forever Ron made his decision. "If you do anything more that talk and buy her a butterbear, I might just have to kill you." With that he left the Grand Hall completely abandoning the rest of his breakfast.
