Introduction

Isabella Swan aka Bella for short, she had only one more day left of being seventeen before turning eighteen. To the humans she was your average Mary Sue. To the vampires she was a blood sack with a small gift of blocking things out. To others she was known as a stupid human whom was over her head. Others will say that vampires, werewolves, and other races do not exist. However, they are far from wrong, they do exist, far more than anyone will ever know. I should know, I am one of those rare races out in the world, the one kind that shouldn't exist, but, does. Lately, I have been keeping an eye on Bella knowing she would give her life, family, and everything up to become a vampire. Though I do believe that Edward Cullen could do better than Bella Swan. Sparkly boy and Mary Sue girl that is how they are seen for those who know them. Myself? Well I am another story and that story is about to be told.

My name is...

Chapter 1: Surfacing

The sound of the ocean waves echoed throughout the beach on this sunny day. The foamy, cold, salt water rushing up the sand of the beach. The smell of salt water in the afternoon warm air as the sun hangs in the sky. Slowly, yet surely, I walk out of the ocean itself, as if it didn't phase me. Eyes were staring at me from all around, though, it was only from a small group of boys. In my opinion, they were very good looking boys, some older than that of boys, maybe men. However, there should have been people on the beach, did someone die or get hurt, or maybe they saw me as a threat? I have no idea as for of now, but, what I do know is that they weren't human. Not fully, but, I couldn't figure out at first glance of what they were. The group of boys, only five of them, were wearing only shorts, cargo like shorts.

"Who are you?" The tallest one asked, I said nothing to them, which I knew would irritate them or at least the tall one. Nonetheless, I've seen far worse and scarier things, which meant I wasn't going to flinch at their glares. "I'll ask again" the tallest spoke adding "Who are you?" in a distrustful and slightly annoyed tone. 'He must be used to getting all the answers when he wants' I think to myself, my expression unchanged, until a devious little smirk cross my face showing I was about to be a smartass. Though this time he was a bit more demanding when asking as I replied "You know, it's very rude to ask someone for their name without giving on in return" our eyes met, his were dark, not cold, just dark. He looked as if he huffed just like the big, bad wolf in "The Three Little Pigs" story. Yea, I know, I just basically said that a grown man reminded me of a bad wolf in a children's story.

"I'm Sam, this is Quill, Embry, Paul, and Jake" Sam spoke "Elizabeth, Liz or Lizzy for short" I replied not giving them my full name as the wind swept past my face and through my Irish red, blonde hair being weighed down from the salty, ocean water, which made my hair go a little past my waist. My bright blue eyes had a hint of light, hot pink as I glanced up towards the sun. As far as height goes, I was considered short compared to the guys, to be exact I would say I am 5"5 considering I am not that old. Then again, aging isn't really an option for me, now is it? Oh don't worry, you'll find out about my history and I later, for now let's focus back on the story. Now where was I? Oh yea...

"Why are you here?" Sam asked me once more not taking his eyes of me. "Besides looking for a place to stay and clean up for a bit? Just passing through" I replied, my serious, but, normal tone never changing.
