Author's Note: So, I figured I'd post this for all of you people reading Game Night. (check it out, it's really good… if I do say so myself :) This gives you a bit more background on Annalise, my OC. ENJOY!

Disclaimer: I own Annalise! But nothing else… :(

At first, I thought it was just a repeat of Kara. When Annalise walked into the room, I stared, (ha ha, yeah. I gaped. And probably drooled a bit.) and my heart skipped a beat.

Annalise had long, bouncy red curls, and a heart-stopping smile. She gave me that smile when she caught me looking at her, and I gave her my trademark grin back.

As was required, Annalise first went into Cat Grant's office to notify her that she was there. She came out looking shaken, also usual. Then, now this was new, she walked over to me.

"Uh, hi." Annalise said, tucking a few stray curls behind her ear. "I was wondering if you know where I can find Winn Schott."

I jumped up. I'm not overeager or anything. "Well, you found him. He's me!"

Annalise stuck out her hand, and I shook it. "I'm Annalise, the new assistant I.T. Mrs. Grant said we'd be working together."

"Yeah!" Another grin washed over my face as I realized I'd be seeing a lot of each other...

As time went by, Annalise and I got closer. She found out that Kara was Supergirl; us being partners made it very hard to keep quiet. I was glad. I didn't like keeping that side of my life a secret.

Annalise turned out to be a very good asset. She was nearly as good with computers as me, and had some serious taekwondo skills. I still called it karate, just to annoy her. 'Cause, you know, it's me.

Kara loved Annalise. They immediately connected, leaving Kara with a much needed female friend, other than Alex, of course.

When I had known Annalise for a month and a half, I decided that it was time to make a move. I immediately thought to talk to Kara.

"Kara, I, um, have a question on some advice. Girl advice."

"Yes, ask her out." Kara said distractedly, typing on her tablet. "Go up to her today, and ask her out to dinner. Always a good first date idea."

"What?! How, how did you know what I was going to say?"

"Anyone with eyes would have been able to know what you were going to say."

"Ah... Well, anyways. How do you think I should ask her? Just go up and say, 'Hey, you want to go to dinner with me, like, on a date?'" I sat down at my desk in frustration. "That's so weird."

"No, it's direct. Don't mumble, don't hem and haw, if you catch my drift."

"Well then. Thanks."

"Welcome." Kara looked up and smiled. "Good luck. She will say yes you know."

"I sure hope so."

I asked her just as planned, and, just as Kara thought, she said yes.

Author's Note: I hope you enjoyed…. FINDING THE ONE!

You know, I honestly thought that the new assistant could be Winn's girlfriend for season 2. But apparently he's getting fired from CatCo, and going to work at the DEO full time! Maybe we'll get to see a tad more Winn this season…. I hope so!
