Disclaimer: Harry Potter is not mine and the queue of people who want to own the rights goes around the world. Twice.
AN: This is my response to the unusual pairings challenge. My pairing is Bellatrix Lestrange/Luna Lovegood. This is set during the early part of the school year in book seven.
Bellatrix Lestrange fidgeted as she felt the leaves falling about her. Autumn and falling leaves only served to remind her of her own wedding. A wedding to a nice, pure-blood and utterly boring husband.
To say Mr Lestrange didn't excite her, would be rather like saying that mother dragons were a little moody. Oh, he was certainly right about blood-purity and things that mattered. But when it came to matters of the bedroom, well lets just say that it wasn't Bella's fault that they didn't have any children.
A sudden movement in the corner of Bellatrix's eye made her suddenly swing around. Standing in front of her, with a look of determination on her face, was a tall, blonde-haired girl. The girl was facing away from Bellatrix and Bella decided to get a better look at her.
The first thing that Bellatrix noticed was that the girl was dressed in tight-fitting robes that emphasised her figure nicely. And, if Bella was honest with herself, the girl had a very sexy figure. Shaking herself to shake the feeling of arousal away, Bellatrix spoke up.
"What are you doing here?" Bellatrix sneered, but there was a slight inflection in her voice. 'Damn bisexual tendencies' Bellatrix cursed internally.
The girl looked at her with a dreamy expression. It was no surprise to Bellatrix that the girl's voice sounded dream-like as well.
"I'm trying to catch a Crumpled Fin Fairy ma,am."
"A what?" Bellatrix asked, her forehead burrowing as she frowned in confusion.
"A Crumpled Fin Fairy. I hear that they like trees." The girl replied in a perfectly serious voice. "They have a tendency to cause people to be absent-minded though, so caution is needed when searching for them."
"Oh. Well what precautions do you take then?" Bellatrix asked, a smile forming on her face. Damn, that girl had beautiful eyes. And a perfect face. Bellatrix shook her head once more. Love was dangerous and falling for another female, even a pure-blood girl (and Bella didn't know whether this girl WAS pure-blood.) was considered unacceptable in pure-blood, wizarding society.
"Well, you have to hum to yourself. But you have to do it in your head, or they'll hear you coming." The girl started. "I'm hoping to catch one and photograph it."
Bellatrix raised an eyebrow. "Do they have any useful traits?"
"Well their wings are supposed to be able to be used as an aphrodisiac." The girl replied with a smile and then the girl leaned forward and gave Bellatrix a swift kiss on the lips. "We could try that out sometime."
Bellatrix spluttered angrily. Drawing herself up to her full height, Bellatrix pulled out her wand.
"How dare you. What's your name girl?" Bellatrix hissed.
The girl looked at her with absolutely no concern whatsoever. In fact, the girl stared at her like she was an item of interest and not a highly trained, highly experienced and very dangerous Death Eater.
"I'm Luna Lovegood. And I thought you might be like me." The girl said firmly, before shrugging. "Oh well, I must have been mistaken."
"I think you were." Bellatrix growled back.
"Oh well. If you change your mind, I'm in Ravenclaw." Luna said cheerfully, before wondering off to the castle, her hips swaying sexily in her path.
As Bellatrix watched Luna walk away, she had one last errant thought out the stunning Ravenclaw.
"She's right, you know. And that was some kiss."

Luna chuckled to herself as she settled down to bed that night.
"Fancy not knowing what a Crumpled-Fin Fairy is." She chuckled as she fell asleep to some very interesting dreams involving her and Bellatrix Lestrange.
