"...What are feelings?" Orihime remembered the raven-haired arrancar asking her. Orihime placed her hand on his chest which was where the human heart was supposed to be at.
"They say that feelings come from the heart," she replied. The cuatro espada looked down and sighed. One of the few things he would never understand were feelings.
Ulquiorra left the room shortly, leaving a confused Orihime all by herself in her room in Las Noches.

"What is love?" the emerald-eyed espada asked the next day.
"Love is a feeling you feel for someone you like," the redhead replied.
Ulquiorra nodded and muttered out an "oh" before he went off again. Orihime watched him leave in confusion. For some reason, she could not take her eyes off him whenever he came into the room.

"Woman," Ulquiorra called her the next day.
Without thinking, the redhead placed her hands on his cheeks and said,"It's not 'Woman', it's 'Orihime'!"
When she realised what she just did, she quickly pulled back and apologised, expecting the cuatro espada to cero her. Fortunately for her, he did not.
"Orihime...? What does love feel like?" the raven-haired espada asked. Again with the questions! What was up with this guy?
"Well, um... When you're near a person that you love, you will act differently and your heart will start pumping fast. You will get butterflies in your stomach..." Orihime paused when she saw Ulquiorra staring at her as if she was mad.
"...Butterflies? ...In the stomach?" the emerald-eyed arrancar tilted his head in confusion.
How adorable.
"It was a phrase, Ulquiorra-kun. It means that you will feel nervous!" she stated. The arrancar gave her an "Oh, I see" look.
"Then... Do I... Love you?" Ulquiorra himself seemed confused when he asked the question. Orihime was slightly shocked.
"Maybe...?" Orihime slowly replied.
There was a long silence before the espada spoke.
"What... Should I do about it...?" his voice was soft when he said that.
"Whatever your heart tells you," the redhead replied, her face turning into a lovely shade of red.
"I don't have a heart," the arrancar stated.
"Then follow what you think you should do," she smiled sweetly.
Suddenly, she felt something soft against her lips. The redhead opened her eyes and saw the usually emotionless arrancar with his soft and cold lips against her warm ones. It was a very passionate kiss. After a while, the cuatro espada broke the kiss.
"Did I do it right...?" It was obvious he was inexperienced when it came to love. Orihime nodded.
"So... This is how love feels like..." he muttered before their lips met again.
