Chapter 1: Second In Line
Auradon was in a high level of planning as King Ben and his father were rushing around giving instructions as both servants and students helped to prepare the audience chamber; Queen Belle could only giggle,
"Calm down, you two. We have until tomorrow evening. There is plenty of time to get everything ready" she reminded them gently,
"Exactly which means we only have 24 hours! Lumiere! Cogsworth! Where are those two?!" Belle's husband barked in frustration and Ben smiled,
"We're just excited, mom. It's been a long time since I've seen my little sister" Ben pointed out,
"As am I but I'm sure she would not want all this fuss" Belle reasoned,
"Nonsense. I know what is best for my little princess" King Beast grumbled causing his wife to smile in amusement,
"Our little princess, dear" she reminded him,
"Please tell me again why I did not go to war with Arendelle due to that enchanted eternal winter keeping our daughter there for a whole year longer!" he growled,
"Because you hate war and our daughter chose to stay to help Queen Elsa and Princess Anna to clean up the mess" Belle assisted with a giggle as her husband continued to go on complaining.
Ben went outside to see the progress on the grounds' decorations and he smiled as Mal approached with an unimpressed expression,
"It's all so... Cheerful and... I think I'm gonna be sick" she mumbled with a fake balking gesture that made Ben chuckle,
"There's my dragon. I know you're not into this sort of thing but me and my dad are getting ready for my sister's arrival tomorrow. She was meant to be back for the royal cotillion but some big snowstorm kept her at Arendelle academy an extra year" he explained,
"Oh yeah... Evie did have a bit of a fan princess moment over learning some princess was coming home" she said bored,
"Don't worry. My little sister is quite down to earth and is probably the only one whom can make my dad tremble in fear" Ben teased with a chuckle causing Mal to smile,
"She can make the big dog squirm? Oh I like her already" she joked before following Ben off to help with the preparations... Or at least supervise whilst everyone else did the work.
~ Meanwhile On The Triton Sea ~
The ship named: 'The Hugging Snowman' was bound for the kingdom of Auradon; One of the sailors approached the 18 year old Princess passenger,
"The wind is favoring us, your highness and we should have you home safely by tomorrow morning" he informed her and she smiled,
"Thank you. It will be good to see my family again" she said more to herself and the sailor smiled,
"Is there anything I can get you that will make your remainder of your journey more comfortable, Princess Amelia?" he asked causing her to giggle gently,
"Oh please. I am not a huge fan of my full name. Call me, Amy. Also, thank you for the offer but I am fine, thank you" she assured him gently before curtsying after he offered a polite bow before returning back to work and Amy turned back to look at the sea stretched out in front of the ship and silently wished away the hours until she was finally home again.
