AN: In this story, Mark isn't married to Sara.
Taker's Little Girls.
Sixteen year old Ashleigh Callaway watched as her mom, Samantha "Sam" Lawrence was loaded onto the hearse. "Where are you daddy I need you!" She said silently, tears streaming down her face. Mark Callaway woke up to his phone ringing in his ear. "Hello, yes this is Mark Callaway." "WHAT! Where's Ashleigh and Molly? I'll be there in an hour." He said slamming the phone down.
He drove to Corpus Christie quickly, and literally jumped out of his truck when he got to Sam's parents house. He knocked on the door and it was flung open, Ashleigh buried her face into her father's waist. Mark picked her up like she was five years old and held her. "It's ok baby girl, daddy's here now." He said softly.
They went inside and he shook hands with Jack Lawrence, Sam's dad. "Good to see you Mark, I wish it were happier times." Jack said softly. Crying could be heard from upstairs and Mark knew it was Mary, Sam's mother.
"Where's Molly?" He asked referring to his youngest daughter, who was eight. "She's out back, she won't talk daddy, not to anyone." Ashleigh said still crying.
"Stay here with your Grandpa for a minute ok baby girl." Mark told her and set her down. He walked outside and Molly looked up at him, then came running into his open arms like she was shot out of a cannon. She burst into tears and he held her, "It'll be ok Molly, I promise, somehow it will be ok." He said gently, brushing the hair out of her eyes and holding her to him.
"Mommy's gone!" She wailed holding onto him. "I know baby girl, I know." Mark said, a lump rising in his throat. Even after the divorce, he still loved Sam, he just wasn't in love with her anymore, and losing her like this was killing him.
Ashleigh came outside and wrapped her arms around her father and sister. "We'll be ok, I promise." Mark said and they went inside.
Six Months Later:
Mark was in a match with John Cena. Ashleigh and Molly were in his locker room watching on the monitor. Over the last six months things had slowly gotten back to normal. It still hurt the girls to talk about their mother yet, but Mark knew it was only a matter of time.
Glen Jacobs wasn't on Smack Down, but he'd be damned if he wasn't going to be there for his god daughters. He walked into the Arena and was immediately hounded by Paul Heyman. "Get out of the way Paul, this isn't about you, and you aren't GM around here anymore, or did you forget that?" He asked menacingly. "Kurt knows I'm here, and he knows why, so get the hell out of my way!" He yelled tossing the idiot aside and striding towards Mark's locker room.
He opened the door and smiled. Molly had fallen asleep and was laying on the couch, her head in Ash's lap. "Hey princess." He said and Ashleigh looked up. "Hey Uncle Glen, what are you doing here?" She asked. "Came to make sure my favorite girls were ok." He said and planted a kiss on top of her red curls.
"We're ok, everyone here has been so nice it's weird, especially when you see them be assholes on tv every week." She said. "Ashleigh Michelle Callaway!" He scolded at her language. "Sorry, it slipped." She said giggling.
