The heat of the day had the trio already exhausted from their excursions. Keaka fell down heavily on the smooth plastic that would soon be a pool.
"So hot…." She said shielding her eyes from the sun with a hand. Kurama sat next to her letting out a breath adjusting his hair that he had pulled back.
"Yes it is." He said glancing at Hiei whom seemed the least bit affected by the heat. He snapped the last two poles into place and went to stand beside the two,
"Tell me again how you suckered me into this pointless task." He said annoyance clear in his voice.
"Kurama promised you ice cream." Keaka replied removing her hand to stare up at the sky. Hiei glanced off to the side none to pleased that he could be bought off with something so small and petty. Kurama laid down as well to stare up at the sky alongside his friend.
"Hey look at that one, it kind of looks like a monster head…" Keaka stated pointing glancing at Kurama.
"You think so?" He asked. Keaka nodded.
"Yeah see, there's the eye, nose, mouth and teeth." She replied
"What the hell are you two talking about." Hiei said staring at the two as if they had lost their minds.
"Cloud gazing." Kurama said sitting up on his elbows. "Care to join us?" He offered.
"What's the point?" Hiei asked cocking an eyebrow.
"You look at the clouds and try to figure out what they look like." Keaka said.
"You're joking right?" He asked. Kurama shook his head.
"Come join us." He said patting the space next to him and laid back down. Hiei was hesitant but slowly he sat eventually laying down. He stared at the sky of the human world his eyes squinting against the bright sunlight. The blobs of white against the sky remained nothing more than that.
"So do you see it?" Keaka asked.
"I see….clouds." He said.
"Oh come on Hiei use your imagination a little." The girl replied. Hiei sat up clearly irritated.
"I'm a fighter. I don't have an imagination." He said standing up to seemingly disappear into thin air.
He sat in the tree at the park that he had found a liking to since he had arrived in the human world and berated himself for staring up at the sky.
