Driving slowly through a quiet residential neighborhood in his prized corvette, Templeton "Faceman" Peck let out an exasperated sigh. After a ten minute touch-and-go chase with the Military Police Face was finally able to shake the drab-green cars in the winding back roads.

The Team had finished their latest job ahead of schedule and Face was on his way "home" after dropping Murdock off at the VA Hospital when the weary conman had spotted the MP car. Face had gotten lucky—very lucky. He was a half block away from the apartment complex when a rookie MP mistakenly turned on the flashing lights of his patrol car when hiding in an ally way.

That's when the chase had begun and what a chase it was!

Turning off the main road Face pulled into a deserted park. How had Decker found him anyway? Face had only scammed that apartment a little over a week ago!

Shutting off the ignition Face ran a hand through his thick hair. Now all he had were the clothes on his back— not that he even owned many possessions anyway with always being on the move. Closing his eyes and leaning his head back, Face sank deeper into the leather seat. The adrenaline was starting to wear off and exhaustion was beginning to creep into every crevice of Face's being.

Suddenly the car phone rang, causing Face to jump out of his skin and blue eyes to fly open. Grabbing for the phone he didn't even bother answering with a code name but simply muttered, "Yes?"

"Hi, Face!"

"Awww, Hannibal!" the conman groaned. "We just got off a case! What happened to having some 'down time' between cases?"

"We don't have another case, Face."

"We don't?"

"No."

"Then why are you calling me, Hannibal? I'm kind-of busy right now."

"Sure you are, Face."

The conman sighed, exasperated. "Hannibal, what do you want?"

"B.A.'s having a picnic at the Day Care center and he could really use some help." There was a brief pause. "If you're not too busy, that is."

"A… picnic?"

"Yeah, it'll be fun! Oh, and you can break Murdock out of the VA again—the kids would love to see a clown!"

"Right. And how am I supposed to do that, Hannibal? I just took Murdock back! How am I supposed to break him out again so soon?"

There was a pause on the line. "Decker found you." It was a statement rather than a question.

"No." Face denied a little too quickly. How did Hannibal know?

"Well you won't have to worry about Murdock just yet because the picnic isn't for another three days, so you have time to create a brilliant scam." There was another brief pause. "But if you want to head on over to B.A.'s there are some extra supplies he could use. Then you could crash at my place so you can be close to the Day Care Center."

Face couldn't help but smile. He could easily scam another place by nightfall, but he appreciated the kind gesture none of the less. "I'll be there in 20."

Fini.
