There was nothing...
Nothing left
No need to go on
And so he wept

His human eyes focused
As he stared at the trees
In this now-foreign form
He could never be free

But now he had eyes
With emotion..and yet
There was nothing to see
And so he wept

Blinded and gagged
Or so it now seemed
But he'd stay in this form
To go back with the team

The brutal reality
Too hard to accept
Nothing to love
And so he wept

He stood and prepared
The time limit drew nigh
He'd be back as hawk
Unable to cry

His love knew no more
She eternally slept
Such painful memories
And so he wept
