The dark-haired boy yawned. "So.. x equals y.. but only when you multiply it by it's reciprocal.." He groaned. "What.. the hell. Yuki, are you as lost as I am?" The other boy, one with silvery hair, glittering golden eyes and a perpetual smile, could only yawn and hold up his finished homework as he lay on a futon on the floor. Touya sighed and hit Yukito over the head over the pillow with a chuckle, shaking his head, still trying to figure out the seemingly crypted textbook before midnight. "Hey. Yuki." Touya looked up from the pages and nudged the other boy's shoulder. There was a sleepy mumble in response, but nothing more. Slowly, he climbed down and watched him sleep for a moment, smiling. This was his chance.. He reached out a trembling hand and stroked it across Yukito's cheek, shivering at the feel of warm skin under his hand. Yukito gave a contented murmur and squirmed a bit. Touya gradually moved forward, his head tilted to the side. His dark eyes shut as he savoured the sensation against the pale lips in front of him. Yukito let out a quiet purr and started to open his eyes.
"Touya?" He whispered in confusion. Touya drew back sharply, like a bolt of lightning had come between them. Yukito frowned. "What..why are you kissing me?"
"I.." His chest constricted and his voice came in a short, breathless whisper. "I love you, Yukito.."
Yukito swallowed and cleared his throat, looking down. "Touya, I.." He sighed as the dark eyes turned onto him. "I have a girlfriend.. I.. I'm sorry, but I just don't feel the same way about you.."
Touya Kinomoto sat straight up in bed, breathing heavily. Eyes wide, he looked over to the sleeping form on the futon. It was just a dream.. He hadn't kissed Yukito yet. It was just a dream. He had to make sure of it. He climbed back down again and kissed Yukito softly on the lips. It felt real.. Yukito suddenly woke up, coughing, pushing him away.
"What the hell are you doing!?" He asked angrily.
"Yuki.." He looked confused. He had never heard that tone of voice, or seen that expression before.
"Oh, Christ.." He groaned. "You're a frigging queer.. I should've known."
Touya found himself with two warm lips on his own and shuddered, opening his eyes. Yukito pulled away, looking sheepish. "Touya.. I'm sorry. I just.. I couldn't..I couldn't resist.. you just looked so beautiful.."
"Yuki?" He whispered. Yukito nodded in the darkness. "Why were you kissing me?"
"Because.. I love you, Touya." he said quietly. Touya's eyes widened.
"Pinch me."
"What... I.."
"Pinch me!" He felt a jolt of pain and whimpered, pinching Yukito back, hearing a gasp of pain. "We're not dreaming.. this is real.." he wrapped his arms around Yukito's shoulders and pulled him down, locking the other boy in a passionate kiss. "Yukito.." He moaned as the boy's soft lips trailed down his neck "I love you.."
Yukito Tsukishiro sighed as he looked up at the ceiling. It must've been another dream.. there was no way Touya would love him. As he felt hot breath against the back of his neck, he frowned and turned his head to see Touya resting peacefully, his body pressed against Yuki's from behind, his arms wrapped securely around the slender boy's waist. Yukito smiled and cuddled back against his best friend, now his lover.. it was real.. and yet.. somehow, it was a dream come true..
