"I'm done for today. So, what would you like to do, princess." Jack grins as Merida rolls her eyes at his teasing. Merida sits up and purses her lips, deep in concentration.
"Oh! How about I teach ye Archery!" She jumps around Jack excitedly, meanwhile Jack frowns at the idea, he's not really good at sport-like things.
Jack shakes his head, "I don't know," he begins, but soon stops himself when he sees Merida's grin disappear. "I don't know, I think you'd be too blown away by my amazing skills." He adds with a grin.
Merida laughs and collects her bow. Jack follows after her, glad he can make her so happy by just agreeing to learn something she loves. It would be nice to learn archery, they could have even more in common if he would learn it but he's terrible when it comes to things like that.
"Come on Jack!" Merida shouts to the lagging Jack as she runs through the snow.
"Okay, so ye hold it like this." Merida demonstrates, then hands it to Jack who takes it and tries to mimic how she had held it seconds before. "Ye stand like this," She demonstrates all the steps as Jack attempts to copy her gracefulness.
Merida steps back once Jack seems ready and lets the bow go. It misses it's target by a long-shot as it swoops downwards.
Jack groans, already frustrated with himself. "It's alrigh', it is yer first try after 'ol."
After what seemed like eighty tries later, but were really only three, Jack handed the bow to Merida with a frown on his face.
"I can't do it." He mumbles glumly.
Merida giggles and takes the bow. She walks to the pouting Guardian and wraps her arms around his torso. Jack sighs but continues to wrap his arms around her small frame, feeling her giggles against his chest.
"Stop laughing at me." He mumbles. Merida looks up at the boy and grins. "Sorry."
Merida lets go and steps back, picking up her bow once more and handing it back to Jack who looks at it glumly. "I can't do it." He says.
"Yes ye can!" Jack takes the bow reluctantly and stands in the position Merida had taught him before. She walks up behind him, placing her hands on his and fixing his stance. "I think I like it better like this." Jack grins at the blushing princess. "Shut it."
"Alrigh', ready.." Together they let go and the arrow finally meets it's target.
"We did it!" Jack grins. Merida chuckles as he spins her around happily.
"Do ye want ter try it yerself again?" Merida asks hopefully.
"Nope." Jack grins mischievously as he places a quick kiss on her lips and picks her up as they float above the ground. "It's my turn to teach you something."
