His breath touched lightly against her lips. They stood very close together, dancing slowly to the strong rhythm that beat repetitively in the near distance. The two of them could see the top of the wedding tent from where they were standing, knowing full well that once they were back in that tent, this part of the night would have never happened. He was engaged, and she was the outcast amongst everyone who knew of her.
She pulled herself closer to him, longing for his arms to remain around her. She tucked the top of her head under his sharp chin, resting her cheek against his collar bone. He smelled her blonde hair and it faintly reminded him of a vegetable garden he had visited once when he was young. He ran his long, pale fingers through her long locks, wishing to stay in that position forever.

She didn't reply. What else could she say? She just closed her eyes, and ignored the sounds of the wedding that rolled over the surrounding hills. It was getting late.
