Here Comes the Sun

"Hey! Liet! Wait for me!" Felka called after her friend. Liet stopped and looked back the bouncy blonde. She looked so cute in her school uniform. Felieka caught up to her brunette friend and smiled, panting a bit. "Liet can I, like, stay at your place tonight? Please? I just can't go home tonight." Felka asked. Liet smiled.

"Of course. You never have to ask." Liet responded. She knew that sometimes her best friend just couldn't stand to go back home. Felka grinned at her friend and they walked about a minute in comfortable silence. Felka bounced a little and started talking about something completely irrelevant to everything. Liet smiled and listened to her best friends' latest obsession.

Liet reached into her bag and rummaged around for her keys. After she found them she unlocked it and pushed open the door. Felka quieted and set her bag on the couch. She rushed to her friend and wrapped her arms around the surprised brunette. Liet set her hands on her friends back pulling her close as the small woman began to cry. This happened far more than Liet liked to admit. Her blonde friend was so delicate.

"Liet, can I ask you a question?" Felka asked, lifting her tear stained face out of the other girl's sweater.

"Of course, Felka." Liet replied, wiping tears from Felka's cheek with her thumb. Felka shivered when the Lithuanian touched her cheek.

"How do I tell someone that I don't want to lose that they are my life?" She asked quietly, blushing.

"I suppose you just tell them. I they are that close to you then even if they do not return your feelings, then I doubt they will reject you harshly." Liet replied, feeling a sharp a stab of jealousy and pain that her beautiful friend loved anyone else.

"Oh. Okay." Felka whispered and pulled away from her taller friend's arms resisting the urge to stay in them forever.

Liet took her friends hand, pink dusting both their cheeks at the touch, and led her up the stairs to her room. Felka was always surprised by the number of books in the Lithuanian woman's bedroom. Felka smiled at her friend and settled into her usual place on the floor. She looked down at the book under her hands, flipping over to lie on her stomach, her feet in the air.

"Calvin and Hobbes?" the small Polish woman asks her friends, bemusedly. The brunette laughs and sits down beside her friend. She smiled and nodded pushing her soft brown hair away from her eyes.

"I like them. They are cute, and deep, if you really think about them. They are very interesting." Liet smiled resting most of her weight on her left hand. The Polish blonde nodded as if to agree. Sunlight streamed through the window behind them.

"Liet? Can I tell you something?" Felka asked her best friend. Liet laughed softly.

"Of course, Felka. Anything." The younger woman replied. Felka looked at her with such sincerity in her large gold eyes.

"Tori. You are my world. I don't want to lose you, ever. I love you." Felka said staring straight into the other woman's green eyes. Liet was shocked for a moment before smiling at Felka.

"I love you, as well, Felka." The younger Lithuanian replied with just as much sincerity. Liet leaned down and kissed the Polish woman on the forehead, soft and quick. "I will love you forever. I promise." She whispered against Felieka's skin.

"And sun is witness to true love." Felka whispered so quietly Tori almost didn't here. Tori smiled.

My Felka. Here comes the sun.
