Yesterday's episode and Skye were great. The team finds out about her powers next episode according to the preview, but meanwhile, here's a little oneshot that doesn't really have any point to it.

I don't own Agents of SHIELD. If I did, there would probably be no conflict because I'm horrible at actually finishing things.

Skye tried.

She tried so hard to be normal, but it wasn't easy to constantly keep her heart rate low, to keep from getting excited. To keep from getting scared.

Hell, she had powers. She could make things shake.

She didn't really know the implications of that yet, but she knew the implications of the fact that she was different.

She knew about the accusatory glances Mack and Simmons would throw at her was if they found out. The accusatory glances the rest of the team would throw at her if they found out.

Sure, she had Fitz on her side, but she was pretty damn sure even he had his doubts about her.

Skye was alone.

It wasn't the first time in her life-she had been alone for most of her childhood.

But it was the first time she had been alone while among her friends.

It was the first time she had ever had real friends.

And she wasn't about to lose them.

So she tried harder.

Just another one of my aimless drabbles. Whoops. I don't even know why I wrote this. I think I was procrastinating.

R&R'ing would make me very happy!
