The Doctor lay wide awake on a leather couch somewhere in the TARDIS. Him and Rose had been up screaming at each other the night before. He couldn't even remember what started it. But it ended with them going to bed enraged and sleeping in different rooms. He threw off the soft TARDIS blue blanket that lay across him and tip toed to her room. He peeked in, trying not to get her to notice if she was still up. The door let out a tiny creak, and the Doctor cursed under his breathe. She rolled over, her eyes swollen from crying. She had to have been wide awake. She looked straight into his eyes, glaring at him. He stared back. He then walked in and jumped onto her bed, pulling her into his arms. "I'm so sorry, Rose."

"I'm sorry too, Doctor," she said, crying. He pulled away.

"Hey," he wiped the tears off her pale face, "no tears." She smiled weakly at him. She looked down shyly, thinking of what to say. "I love you," he said it so quickly it shocked both of them.

"I love you, too," they grinned at each other, before they pulled each other in for a fast, chaste kiss.
