He looks at her with saddened but serious blue eyes, his expression unwavering. He says "I have to fight him. My darkness. Alone." He hoists the humongous broadsword onto his back with ease. And for the very first time, he leaves her heart broken. And for once, she wants to scream out to the world and damn everything that caused things to be this way – Hojo, that damnable alien Genova, the heartless, Shinra, the Turks… But she bites her tongue, for the scream would never end. Because even if Cloud succeeded, history would repeat itself. Crisises would happen. Cloud would always blame himself. And the cycle would never end. He walks away, wild blonde hair flowing in the breeze. He won't look back. And the last words she'll hear from him in a long time are simple.
"I'm sorry."
He leaves. And when she's out of everyone's hearing range by the cliffs near Crystal Fissure, she tilts her head back and s c r e a m s.
Blackout. Amnesia.
White.

Incase you didn't get it, she passes out from screaming so loud and hard. Then she falls off the cliff, nearly dies, and wakes up in a hospital with scrambled memories.
