I am a dreamer, dreaming of you
I am a cutter, cutting through
I am a wisher, wishing for death
I am a daughter, taking a breath
And I am me, waiting to be set free.
Buffy felt herself cry as she continued to read the poems Dawn had written. How could she have missed how much pain her sister was going through? She turned the page of the note book and read the next poem.
Just because I seem so strong
Doesn't mean there's nothing wrong
Just because you don't see my pain
Doesn't mean it's not the same.
Dawn's words cut deep and Buffy can't believe she missed all the pain her sister was in after losing their mother. She had been so caught up her own pain over being brought back.
"I'll make it better Dawnie" she promises.
