Welcome to this new story of mine. Let's just get to the story, I have no idea what to put here.
Qrow's POV
"I'm sorry Qrow she's gone. Summer's gone." Tai spoke standing in the doorway of my house.
I feel tears dripping slowly down my face.
'It can't be. Why do I have to be cursed, Why do I have to be a Bad Luck Charm?'
"I'm... I'm gonna go Raven and Yang are waiting for me."
"Okay. I'll see you around I guess." I speak barely keeping my voice from cracking.
Tai heads out of the house and I hear his Motorcycle startup and fade away.
"Daddy?" I hear a small voice whisper from behind me.
I turn around and see my 5-year-old daughter, Ruby peeking around the corner from the kitchen.
"Daddy, Why are you crying?" She asks.
She stumbles over to me.
"Daddy, What's wrong? Where's Mommy?"
"S-She's gone, sweetie."
"What do you mean?"
"She's not coming back."
The tears are coming down harder now. She's only 5 she shouldn't have to deal with the death of a parent.
"Daddy?" Now she's crying too.
"Mommy's gone? Why? Why did Mommy leave us?"
I wrap my arms around her and hold her tight like if I were to let go she would disappear too. I don't know what to say. Is there anything to say?
"Let's go, Baby. I think we should get some sleep."
"B-But Mommy."
"It's okay."
Time Skip / 4 years / 3rd POV
"Dad! Look Look!" A 9-year-old Ruby yells running around Qrow before turning into rose petals.
"Awesome Sweetie. You've unlocked your semblance, speed just like your mother." He praises while applauding.
"Now how about we continue working on your weapon?"
"Yay!!"
The two walk over to the garage that houses their weapon forge.
"All that's left now is to sharpen the blade and paint it. By the way, what did you want to name it?"
"Hmm. How about Grimm Slayer?!"
"I think that's pretty generic also don't take Uncle Tai's ideas seriously."
"Okay, Then what about Crescent Rose?"
"I like it. It fits you." Qrow says nodding in approval. "I'm guessing you want to paint it Red Like Roses?"
"Yeah, we have the materials right?"
"Yeah, I got them the other day."
"Alright."
About an hour later Crescent Rose is finally complete.
"Ohhh. She's Beautiful!!"
"So you're a weapon geek like your Mother," Qrow whispers with a nostalgic tone.
"Did you say something?" Ruby asks him.
"Nothing Baby. Want to test it?"
"Really?!"
"Yeah."
Ruby picks up Crescent Rose and the duo head out.
Time skip/ 6 Years
"So, Oz let you in Beacon early huh Petal?"
"Yep. He also mentioned my silver eyes. Do you know why?"
"Well, that's a story for another time," Qrow says taking a quick sip from his flask.
"Looks like your rides here." He states watching a yellow motorcycle and golden-haired driver approach.
"Hey, Uncle Qrow!" Yang calls getting off the bike and taking off her shades.
"Yang, what'd I tell you about wearing your helmet." Qrow scolds as Yang walks over to him and Ruby.
"Ugh, you sound like Dad." Yang joked.
"Anyway, are you two prepared? It's gonna be a hectic week." Qrow warns.
"Yep, I'm Armed And Ready." Yang beamed while punching the sky.
"We'll see." Qrow chuckles out. "How's Tai?"
"Good. We've been sparring recently and I've even won a few times."
"Nice. How about Raven?"
"Good, she's still disappearing to check on her tribe every so often."
"Okay."
"Well, you two better get going don't wanna miss the plane."
"Ok, let's go, Ruby."
"Kay."
The two girls hop on Bumblebee and Yang starts it up.
"Bye Dad/ Uncle Qrow!" The two call before driving away."
I'm gonna cut it short here then start on the beacon arc in the next chapter.
See ya later
Aaron, out.
