What if Toney hadn't left Alex after the whole Voodoo thing? What if he stayed to help her out? I am writing this as I can not find any Alex/Tony fanfiction. If you know of any please tell me.
"Does he look like he needs therapy? Does he look like he is traumatised?" She whispers to him so that Ben doesn't overhear.
"No, but his mother does. How are you coping?"
"Fine!... No I'm not fine, I just can't get it out of my head, and I'm scared if I let him out of my sight that he will………… he will…….." she trailed off beginning to breakdown.
He moved towards him and held her, trying desperately to take away some of her grief and pain.
"How bout I stay a little longer, help you out with Ben, you make us dinner and I help him with whatever he needs help with."
"Tony I don't know, I don't want to be an inconvenience to you."
"No you wouldn't be, it's not. Come on it will be easy." He said guiding her back into the room where Ben was sitting at the table with his toy.
"Hey Ben, is it ok if I stay here with you and your mum to help her out a bit?"
"Can we make popcorn with maple syrup?"
"I don't know I think we would have to ask you mum." They both turned toward Alex looking at her until she giggled slightly.
"Yes you can have popcorn as long as you have dinner beforehand."
Ben let out a small cheer and grabbed Tony's hand. "Come on I will show you my
animals from the jungle."
Alex set to work in the kitchen getting the dinner ready; she was a little surprised at how quickly Ben took to Tony. He admired him almost as a father figure as he had never had a man in his life like this before. She smiled to herself remembering the look of glee on her sons face when he heard Tony was going to stay for longer.
After putting the food in the oven she went up stairs into Ben's room to find them both sitting on the floor playing with a few of Ben's toys. They were totally oblivious towards her in the doorway and she stood there watching them interact. Ben trusted him with everything and Tony seemed to be handling the situation quite well seeing as he was not used to kids.
"You two look like you are having fun."
Tony turned to see her and smiled, she smiled back making eye contact. They stayed like that for a bit until they were interrupted but Ben.
"Tony knows all sorts of stuff mum, he knows all interesting facts on animals and rockets!"
"Really?" Alex replied with a slight smirk playing across her face.
"Agh, Alex he is egsatuation the truth, he knows more than me about these animals, I think he has been studying."
"You guys should go wash your hands dinner will be ready soon."
Ben got up quickly and took off towards the bathroom. Tony got up and went over to Alex in the doorway, they made eye contact again.
"Thankyou." She almost whispered. The he did something out of character for him that made her heart flutter. He lent towards her and grabbed her hand and gave it a squeeze.
"Just know Alex you always have someone you can trust."
She closed her eyes as he said this feeling his breath on his face, then he was gone. She stood there stunned feeling her hand where his had once been; it was warm and felt good. She smiled before turning and making her way towards the kitchen.
