Two short poems. The first takes place during the boys’ fifth year at Hogwarts on a full moon night. Sirius’ point of view. The second is when Remus and Sirius meet at the end of Prisoner of Azkaban.

Authors note: This was the first thing I ever wrote for fandom. It takes place during the boys' fifth year at Hogwarts on a full moon night. Sirius' point of view.

I can hear your anguished howl as I look out over the moonlight drenched lawn,

and my heart breaks.

I can feel your pain and sorrow

Each month I die a little inside knowing that you must suffer alone.

But not for long.

We are getting so close, I can feel it.

Peter, James and I can hold our animal form for nearly an hour now.

Every day our magic grows stronger.

Soon you will run free, and we will howl at that moon together, wolf and dog, taunting it. It will no longer have the power to separate us.

For there is nothing on the Earth or in the Heavens

powerful enough to keep me from your side.

That Moment in the Shrieking Shack

Full of doubt,
Fear,
Guilt,
I thought our friendship ended.
Now with truth,
Forgiveness,
Love,
Perhaps it can be mended.
