I'm really excited to write this, and I hope it'll appeal to all you RWBY fans.

This fanfiction will center around the Grimm, and RWBY and JNPR trying to fight the Grimm threat.

Mercury reached out to turn off his alarm clock, and sat up in his bed, weary eyed. He looked out his window down to the main plaza of Beacon, to be greeted by the sight of dead Hunters/Huntresses in training, and Grimm swarming Beacon. Without warning, a small Nevermore swooped in through the window, going straight for Mercury.
3 Months Earlier…
"Gooood morning Team RWBY!" Ruby exclaimed, jumping down from her bed. The rest of the team climbed out of bed with bags under their eyes, and Weiss gave Ruby a bad look. "Why are you waking us up so early?! It's the weekend, our time to rest and study!" Weiss scolded, but Ruby shushed Weiss. "We have plenty of weekends to rest and study. Last night, I talked to Ozpin, and he agreed to…" Ruby couldn't hold in her excitement. "Let us go on our own mission!" Ruby squealed in delight. The rest of the team's jaws dropped to the floor.
"WHAT?!" Blake and Weiss screamed, while Yang was staring in shock. "Ruby are you stupid?!" Weiss scolded yet again. "You do realize we're only just now second-years, and going on a mission on our own would be very dangerous?!" Weiss screamed, but Ruby walked around the room, to the door, to face the entire team. "That is why, we're also gonna have team JNPR on our mission! They're going to help us!" Ruby exclaimed. "Remember in Forever Fall forest, in initiation? We all worked together greatly, and our two teams are gonna be able to pull off this mission flawlessly, I'm sure of it!" Ruby beamed, as the team got dressed. As Ruby almost left the room, Blake stopped her. "What kind of mission are we going on, Ruby?" The faunus asked, much more calm than Weiss. "We're going to hunt Grimm! They're infesting in a forest not very far from Vale, and it's become a threat to the city. We're going to eradicate those Grimm." Ruby smiled. The team went to the main lobby of their dorm building, were team JNPR was waiting. "You guys take so long!" Jaune complained as team RWBY approached, bags ready. "Well, these ladies weren't very 'agreeing' on the idea. But they're okay with it now." Ruby laughed, before looking back at Weiss. "Except for the ice queen." Ruby snickered. "Hey!" I'm not a queen, so stop calling me it!" Weiss pouted. "At least, not yet."
…
RWBY and JNPR boarded the dropship that would take them out of the city, before approached by team CFVY. "Hey, be careful out there." Coco and Velvet warned the two teams. "The Grimm out in that area are very frisky, and are quite aged. And you know about those old Grimm, they're smart." "Don't worry, guys!" Ruby smiled. "We can take care of it, we'll be back before you guys know it!" Team CFVY sighed. "Whatever you say, Ruby." Velvet said monotonously as the dropship departed.
