Summary: When two souls dwell within the same body, it is absolutely necessary that the two be bonded or the relationship will die. But soon Yugi will discover he doesn't know everything he would like to about his friend the Pharaoh. The Pharaoh has a dark secret, and this secret will soon swallow Yugi entirely.

)(Yugi POV )(

I had woken up early today, I wasn't exactly sure why though. I bet it was my other self; he's been a bit restless lately. Slowly I sat up and turned to the translucent figure standing by the window.

The Pharaoh was casually leaning on the windowsill staring out into the blackened sky, the clouds sitting above Domino. Waiting for the opportune moment to strike. A storm warning was in effect; it was suppose to be big. Huge even.

I stood from the bed and rubbed my still tired eyes. I walked up behind the Pharaoh, "Is … Is there something bothering you?" I questioned him, unsure as to why I had paused. It was almost like I was afraid of what he was going to tell me. Nonsense. There was no reason to be afraid.

He turned and forced me a half smile, "It's nothing Yugi. I'm sorry if I woke you."

"S'alright." I smiled back trying to lighten the tension that was building between us. Deep inside myself, I had this feeling. Something was wrong. It wasn't "nothing". But I didn't want to ask, not just yet anyhow. When the time was right he'd tell me. We tell each other everything.

The Pharaoh gave a sigh and pushed himself away from the windowsill, he opened his mouth as if he was going to say something else, but instead turned away from me.

I looked down at my feet. "What wasn't he telling me?" I whispered to myself as I turned and stepped back towards my bed. I glanced over my shoulder to where he was standing but found him to be gone.

My gaze then found its way to the puzzle, as I was sure that's where he had gone. I rushed over to the puzzle seeing as it was smeared in blood. The thin red layer of blood was now dulling the once golden shine. "Wha-- … when …" I spoke in short breathes unable to make anything of this. I lifted the once sign of relief into my hands only to be struck with a feeling of horror.

I felt a cold hand on my shoulder; I froze unable to think. My entire body stiffened and I slowly shut my eyes hoping some deranged killer hadn't made their way into my bedroom. My house. Pharaoh, help me.

Alyssa: Alright that was the intro to my story, Soul Deception. I'm aware it was very short and I'm sorry for that ... but my laptop is currently being fixed and I can't stand using a computer. I know, stupid reson but it's just as simple as that. I need my laptop to work my magic. Gomen. Please review ... if you want.
