Hermione, Ron, and Harry all stood in the crumbled remains of Dumbledore's office. Voldemort had just died-somehow, they'd disintegrated his body so that no one had to bury it. Harry was searching through what was left of the memories Dumbledore'd stored. He was looking for something else about Snape.
Hermione was tired of just sitting around. She wanted to do something. She stood up and said, "I'm going to the Chamber of Secrets. Maybe there's something down there." Hermione began the long trek down the endless flights of stairs, into the bathroom that Moaning Myrtle haunted.
She made the weird noise that Ron had made just a few hours earlier. Walking in cautiously, Hermione lit up her wand with "Lumos." Suddenly, the ground shook. What was that? She wondered.

Boris Yeltsin, Russian president, sat in his office, looking upon war maps and charts. The United Kingdom had recently made a threat to launch nuclear weapons on their capital city. Boris couldn't let that be. The least he could do was send a small bomb, not even that powerful, on an unmarked place on the map. He'd heard myths about the place-might as well be rid of it.

Hermione immediately turned around. Must've been an earthquake. A powerful one, though, because when she climbed out into the bathroom, it was all gone. She could see the clear blue sky. Just then, a frog jumped up to Hermione's feet. Wait a second! That was a toad! Trevor the Toad, Neville's toad. "We're the only ones left," Hermione realized.

The reporter frowned as she looked out the window. "The wizarding world has fallen into anarchy!" she cried. "Without Harry Potter, nobody has followed the rules! Most wizards have already gone into hiding! Soon, all known wizards will be dead!" Just then, she crouched down as a spell shot through the window. "Good luck, my friends!"
