I've been obsessed with romance betrayal fics later so I thought I'd write a few one-shots. This is about Steven meeting an old friend but he doesn't recognize the person. I don't own pokemon! Enjoy!
Of all the people he knew he couldn't recognize the girl.
His father invited her to Devon Corporations Christmas party after he heard that she was in town visiting her family.
She came accompanied by Wallace, the champion of his home region.
Wallace told him that he couldn't come alone and neither could she.
So they came together but they separated right away, her going to talk to his father and Wallace going to talk to the members of the Elite Four.
His father introduced him to her, her name didn't seem familiar to him.
Glacia told him that she was the champion of a distant region but he still didn't recognize her.
His father told him that she was his first crush but once again he didn't recognize her.
She realized that he didn't recognize her.
Her sad eyes made him hurt.
He didn't understand why.
When his father asked them to battle each other they quickly accepted.
He sent out his Aggron and she sent out a Lucario.
At the start of the battle she mega evolved her pokemon.
He didn't have a clue about mega evolution so he had an enormous disadvantage.
During the battle he saw the betrayed look on her face.
He hurt her emotionally and he couldn't stop regretting it.
His Aggron fought hard but in the end the steel-type was no match against the mega evolved fighting-type.
The lost was his biggest one yet, she was so powerful.
She walked up to him after the battle and he asked her who she was.
She answered that she was an old friend of his when he was younger.
She slipped 2 objects into his palm and left without a word.
He opened his hand and noticed that it was a keystone and an aggronite.
He didn't understand why she would give him these when he hurt her so much.
His father told him that she had hoped to have a mega evolution battle with him someday.
That's when he recognized her.
But it was too late.
She left for her home region the next day and he never saw her again.
She never gave him the chance to say 'I'm sorry.'
