Yeah, it's my birthday today! :'( I am OLDER. Not fun. I just remembered that it was Elra's birthday on the 7th of December. Completely slipped off my mind. xD But yeah, for now, this shall be a KandaxReader drabble. You'll know why.
Happy Birthday
"Happy birthday...happy birthday to me..."
And you blew your imaginary candle, smiling bitterly. This was the worst birthday you ever had. No presents, no people singing you the happy birthday song, and no birthday cake decorated with colorful icings and candles on top of it for you to blow and make your wish. This was really depressing...
You frowned, but kept silent about your sadness and disappoinment. You cursed at Komui for sending you on a mission on the day of your birthday! Like seriously! That's just plain cruel!
You felt something hard hit you in the head, making you yelp in pain. You looked up, seeing the usual frowning face of Kanda.
"Stop fooling around!" he scolded. He, apparently, saw you singing to yourself and blew to something he would assume an imaginary candle.
"Yes..." you pathetically replied but stopped upon seeing him throw you something. You caught it with your gloved hands. You rose an eyebrow and slowly looked at what he threw at you. Upon seeing the object [1], your eyes grew wide. You immediately looked back at Kanda but found him out of sight.
You let out a genuine smile and chuckled softly.
"Thank you, Yuu."
On the contrary, this was the best birthday you ever had.
[1]- I will let you choose what he gave you. This is the reason why I didn't make it a KandaxOC pairing, it's because I can't make up my mind on what gift he would give Elra. But I was thinking of something related to butterflies. :P
