I don't own Kyuranger. Enjoy!
"Balance, what do you want to do now that we've beat Jark Matter?"
"Probably find some more awesome treasure!"
"I'd like that too. I might want to visit my home though," Naga responded.
"Why? They wanted to kill you because you got emotions."
"It's still my home. Maybe I can show them that emotions aren't bad," Naga looked thoughtful out the window toward the stars, "Do you want to go home?"
"Home is wherever you are Naga."
"But don't you want to visit your home planet? I'm sure you of all people had friends?"
"Nah, they all have important things to do, don't want to bother any of them," Balance decided before asking, "Have you finished packing yet?"
"I wasn't sure when we were leaving so I haven't started. I don't own much though," Naga caught on, "You are hiding something."
"Me? Never."
"Balance…"
"I just," Balance paused to decide on his phrasing, "I just don't think it's best for me to go back there."
"Is it because you steal things?"
Balance shook his head, "No, not exactly." Balance plopped onto a nearby bench, "We don't really see eye to eye. Just like your planet doesn't understand why you want emotions, my planet and I have some disagreements as well."
"Like what?"
"You remember reading that article on Earth history where people hated each other because of skin color?"
Naga nodded, "Earthlings were not very smart…"
"It's similar to that, but instead of skin color, people from my planet don't like anyone who isn't a mechanical lifeform. It was dangerous for visitors on our planet, especially for humans," Balance glanced out the window, "I always thought it seemed silly so I just ignored it, but one day when I was younger, maybe 50 or so, I met a human who was a traveler and a thief. We clicked instantly. He promised to show me the stars, so I left and never went back. He taught me everything I know."
"So? That was 250 years ago, a lot could have changed since then," Naga answered.
Balance shook his head, "With how long we all live, it's probably the same old people stuck in their ways." Balance looked back toward the silver ranger, "I saw visitors die, Naga. Just because they were different than us. I don't want to see that again, and I don't want to risk taking you there."
The pair was quiet for a few minutes as they sat and stared at the stars.
"Maybe I shouldn't go home. They already sent someone to kill me once, I don't want you mixed up in anything either."
"Whatever you decide, I'll be right by your side," Balance said, happiness returning to his voice.
Naga smirked, "So this guy you traveled with… did you like him?"
"I, uh…"
Naga started laughing, "You're cute when you're nervous."
Balance jokingly slapped Naga's arm and chuckled, "Well you are cute all the time."
