I don't own Kyuranger. Hope you enjoy.
"Hey Balance, I've noticed Naga hasn't been taking the meals I've been packing. He's been showing up to dinner, but I'm not sure if he's eating any other time of the day."
"Hey Spada. Yeah, it doesn't surprise me. After he left his home planet he struggled with the lack of schedule. I bet his time with Akyanba messed up more than just his emotions. I'll talk to him, okyu?"
"Heyya Naga, what's going on?"
"Rechecking the configurations on my voyager."
"Haven't you done that twice today?"
"I just want to make sure I did it right."
"Let me look over it really quick and then we can go take a break, alright?"
Naga nodded in agreement and waited silently as Balance checked his work.
"Looks perfect!" Balance put his hand on Naga's shoulder, "Now let's go have some fun!"
Balance led Naga down to one of the game rooms and started up a game of table tennis. He hoped giving Naga something to focus on would help while he asked him questions.
"So how have you been Naga?"
"Fine. You see me everyday, why ask?" Naga kept his eyes on the ball.
"Just wondering how my best friend is! Is that a crime?"
Naga furrowed his brow in thought as he bounced the ball back.
"How have you been feeling?"
"Confused. Why is everyone so distant lately?"
"Are they?" Balance thought, "They probably just want to give you space to process and get past the Akyanba thing."
"Oh..." Naga hit the ball again and looked up at Balance when the ball flew off the table, "So they aren't mad at me?"
"No, Naga. No one is mad at you. They all just care and worry about you," Balance said softly. "Hey, it's lunch time, let's go to the kitchen and see what Spada made."
Naga nodded in agreement.
"Hey, Naga. Want some soup?" Spada greeted as he was passing bowls out to Hammy and Lucky.
Naga sat across from Balance and ate while Balance talked about a new project he was planning.
After that meal, Balance made sure to keep suggesting they go to the kitchen at meal times or he would grab a premade meal to give Naga if they were off the ship. After a while, Spada and Hammy would also suggest he eat on time. Even when Naga got back into a routine, his teammates continued the routine as well.
"Naga hasn't missed a meal since I talked to you. He looks a bit healthier too," Spada caught Balance in the hallway.
"Yeah, he just needed a little push. I think he was starting to get depressed, but sometimes with him it's easier to redirect him into better habits and feelings than to actually talk them out."
"I have noticed he does question his emotions, and everyone else's, when he focuses on them, so you might be right to distract him. I'm just glad he's doing better."
"Me too."
