*I don't own Jane and the Dragon or its characters

This was inspired by a person I know with a sad disposition who I admire. Please enjoy

On a sea of white bedsheets lies the shadow of a person I used to know

I visit daily to make sure you don't disappear

Behind the glass eyes are a lingering warmth

A life

That still makes my heartbeat race

With skin as white as porcelain, you are still a knockout

Oh will you not say you love me anymore?

Have you really forgotten about me?

How nice it would be to kiss that soft cheek

Or hold your hands though they look like they would break from the touch

Oh the bemusing chatter of catapults and strategies

Used to doth flow from your lips

One day I couldn't see you anymore

Or those laughing eyes that hide behind glass

Emotions hidden in a bow

Scorn hidden in a laugh

Health as fragile as glass

Hidden behind glass windows

They forbade me for looking, for searching

If you are still breathing please call for me please

I know you are still there

I'm not afraid if you leave before I want you to

Just let me back in

Let me see you please

No, no, nothing but no

Still I can't escape the reality of your existence

I watched from the outside how your figure passes by, casting a shadow

Perhaps you were looking for me behind the glass

Or that I was looking for you

Holding a stone, I prepare myself for the darkness I'll soon have to have face

I'll prepare for metal bars and wooden doors that will soon become my friends

Even if if you're eyes don't shine anymore

Or if your hands don't hold warmth anymore

I'll come see you

But to get to you I need to break the wall

To break that window

And shatter that glass
