Butterscotch inhaled a deep breath, today was the day. He made his way to the school's soccer field to find his favorite, Rainbow Blitz. Quietly he walked up and looked around the field to find, nobody?

'Where is he?' Butterscotch thought as he looked around the grounds once more. 'Did he forget?' He looked up at the sky, the clouds blocking the bright sun. 'It's getting dark, I hope it doesn't rain.'

"Is something wrong, Butterscotch?"

The pinkette gasped as a familiar voice crept into his ear, he turned and face the owner of the voice. "Rainbow Blitz?!" He yelled at the athlete. "You scared me!"

Rainbow Blitz chuckled and put an arm around the smaller male's shoulder "So, Where are we going to today?" Butterscotch looked aside and gave a warm smile. "The park.''

They walked thought the park, Butterscotch looked up at the sky again, it bugged him. The once open sky was covered in dark clouds, storm clouds. "Rainbow Blitz?" He asked looking over at the rainbow haired male.

His voice stuck in his throat, he didn't dare trust it. Rainbow looked over to him with curious gaze. "What's the matter Scotch? Do you feel OK? Your face is kinda red." He stared at him, ready to answer when wetness hit his nose.

"Hu?" Then almost on cue a down pour of rain blanket the whole park. "Fuck," Rainbow hissed. "Come on!" He took Butterscotch's hand and pulled him along. They both raced to one of the nearby trees, taking shelter under a small oak.

Gasping for air, butterscotch lend on the tree's warm trunk. Wait...Why was the tree warm?! "Comfortable?" A smiling Rainbow Blitz asked when Butterscotch looked back at him.

The pinkette's face turned pure bright red trying to back away when thunder roared. He gave the most startled expression and literately jumped into the others arms, trembling in fear.

"Butterscotch," Rainbow Blitz said wiping damp pink hair out of crystal blue eyes. "What's wrong? Is it the storm?" The pinky looked away, his eyes filling with tears. "I...I'm scarred..." More thunder screamed and lighting ripped through the sky.

The storm's rage grew more as the winds blew the rain at them. Rainbow Blitz held Butterscotch close, shielding him form the rain. The rain showered down on them like needles, it took every ounce of blitz's will not to hissed in pain

Something in his heart told him to protect the kind being and let nothing hurt him. "Butterscotch!" Rainbow Blitz yelled over the roars of thunder. "Get closer to the trunk!"

As soon as Butterscotch did what he was told Rainbow Blitz pinned him against the tree, blocking him from the harmful elements. At that moment Butterscotch could see Blitz clearer. His rainbow mimicked hair was drenched and clung to his forehead, his blue hoodie was drenched as well and gave a perfect outline of his form.

His deep pink eyes burned with a fiery determination, But for what? Why did they burn with such willpower? To protect maybe? But, to protect what? Then it struck him like lighting.

Him! Rainbow Blitz was protecting him! Butterscotch couldn't help but look at him, wanting to hug him and he did. He captured Rainbow Blitz in a thankful and caring embrace, he was shocked.

Then they looked at each other, their eyes reading the others. Their face's began to get closer and closer, their lips almost brushing when... BOOM!

Thunder echoed though the air scenting a shitlessly scared Butterscotch into a brave Rainbow Blitz's chest. Rainbow couldn't help but hold onto him, looking at the storming sky.

'Thank you for ruining the moment you damned storm!' He let out a sigh as he rested his cheek on Butterscotch's head, thinking about what had almost happened.

The storm had finally let up, it had been about an hour or so, the park still damp from the earlier weather. "Thank you Rainbow Blitz," Butterscotch said getting off the ground. "That was so kind of you. Protecting me like you did."

Rainbow gave a small smile and scratched the back of his neck. "It was nothing, really. I'm just glad you're unharmed." Butterscotch gave the cutest smile ever before walking up to him, their faces inches apart.

"But I think that a thank you isn't enough." Rainbow Blitz was shocked as Butterscotch came up and press his satin soft lips against his and pulled back, his eyes wide.

Butterscotch giggled softly before turning around and running away on the sidewalk. "See you tomorrow!" Rainbow shook his head fierily and watched as the shy boy turned the corner. A grin played his lips as he ran after the cheery pink.

"Scotch! Butterscotch wait up! BUTTERSCOTCH!"
