Hyrule is a kingdom full of many people, and therefore, there are many stories to be told. Some are good, some are bad. Some are long, some are short. Some are full of hatred and betrayal, while some are full of love and trust. I, the great Kaebora Gaebora, have a very interesting story to tell you. But before I can tell you that one, I must tell you this one.

Shadow Link muttered to himself as he walked down through Ganondorf's castle.

"What does that fat pig want now?"

He pulled open the big doors to the throne room and walked inside.

"Ah, Shadow. You've arrived," the dark lord grinned.

"Whatever. What do you want?" Shadow Link was in no mood for a lecture.

Ganondorf picked the purple haired boy up with one big hand.

"Your attitude's what I want to talk about."

Damn, another lecture, Shadow thought.

"You see, Shadow, I've been busy lately."

"Yeah, being a total ass-hole."

Ganondorf tightened his grip on Shadow's neck, making the boy choke a bit.

"And I've grown quite sick of your whining. Ever since the stupid Triforce Wielder beat you I've taken you under my wing and tried to teach you. But you constantly complain about how he's so much better than me and I don't know if I can trust you anymore. So I've got a little something to show you."

The dark lord dropped the poor shadow on the ground, who let out a pained cry.

"Y-yes, m-master."

The two entered a different room. It was completely bare and the only thing in there was a large dark purple crystal. Inside the crystal, a figure was floating in the middle of it.

As they got closer, Shadow Link could see the person inside it much better. It was a girl who looked his age. She had dark purple hair the barely went past her chin, fair skin, and large blue eyes.

She looks just like me! He thought in shock.

And he was right. She was the spitting image of him. She even had the same outfit as him.

Ganondorf smirked and sent a dark energy beam at the girl.

"W-what are you doing?!" Shadow Link exclaimed.

The girl completely disappeared.

"I want you to find her," Ganondorf said simply.

"Why?"

"Because if you comeback with her, I'll know I can trust you. If you don't I'll kill you. I need to make sure you can handle what I give you. You don't want to end up like Vaati, do you, Shadow?"

Shadow Link swallowed. He remembered Vaati. He had failed to come back with Zelda, and the dark lord brutally beat the poor young wind mage into the ground. Shadow hadn't seen or heard anything about Vaati since then. He assumed Vaati either died or was locked up for life in the dungeon.

"Okay. I'll do it."

Ganondorf smirked.

"Good. And remember: if you don't comeback in the next three months, you're going to regret everything."

Shadow Link nodded and walked off.

"I just want to ask you one thing," he said.

"What would that be?" Ganondorf asked.

"What is her name?"

"Oh, her name is…"

He thought for a moment.

"Linnea."
