Here is a new story I'm going to write some. I am still concentrating on the other two but I have a few more story ideas out there. I'm not sure how often I will update.

It had been a few months since the Chitauri attack on New York. Steve had taken that time to decide what he wanted to do. His biggest problem was where to live. Due to the promotions he received after he disappear and all the back pay owed him money as not a problem. Pepper Potts, Tony's girlfriend had helped him out after Tony introduced them. She helped him invest his money for not just his back pay but from thing Howard had done for him incase he was ever found alive. Steve got money from Captain America merchandise and Steve also made money from the movies he made.

Pepper had helped him buy an apartment building that was close to a gym. She also bought the gym since it was not doing so good. The top floor of the apartment building was remodeled for Steve. The top floor had 4 apartments. One was for Steve, two were spare for incase he had a trusted friend or two that needed a place. The last was converted to an art studio and private training room. Pepper made sure all the apartments were updated. She even had a private encrypted line added to Stark towers for JARVIS. JARVIS would be around to help Steve out. A security protocol was added that insured Steve privacy. Jarvis could not divulge any thing that Steve didn't want known. Tony had set it up himself and even he couldn't over ride it.

Steve was having the rest of the building fixed up and updated at no extra cost to the tenants already living there. He had three floors of tenants. He also hired a building manager to oversee the running of the building.

The gym was temporary shut down while it was being fixed up and new equipment was purchased. Tony also suggested security camera because of the growing drug trade and violence. That way he could insure a safe place for people to come. Steve had talked with a few of the local police about neighborhood problems. Though Steve made sure to hide is true identity. Only Pepper knew his address incase of an emergency since she was the least likely to bother him.

Steve had also donated to several veteran and youth charities originations that Pepper recommended. He was not sure how to deal with all this money due to growing up during the Great Depression.

With the help of Jarvic he was learning about modern technology. By no means was he an expert but hes was getting better every day. The phone was the easiest but for the moment he just had Tony, Pepper and Bruce's numbers.

He was also trying to catch up with history. He had several books he was reading and had watched several documentaries. No matter how much he caught up he felt alone and out of place.

Nick Fury was worried about Steve Rodgers. For the most part the man had dropped off the grid. Fury knew about where he was but he had done a good job of vanishing. He suspected Stark had helped and knew where he was. Nick wanted Rodger working for SHIELD. He planned on partnering him with Romanoff since Barton was out on medical for a good while. He thought Rodgers and Romanoff would make a good team. Steve needed some to help him to start over and Natasha needed someone to help her get over her guilt from her days with Redroom. They worked good together during the Chentaeri invasion.

He was staring out the window over looking New York Harbor. He was constipating Steve Rodgers when his office door was opened with out the person knocking.

"You know Romanoff its considered polite to knock before entering someone's office."

"Well since I have never been polite and I don't care about rules."

"I have a job for you. I sure your aware that Steve Rodgers has pretty much dropped of the grid. I would like you to find him and let him know I would like to talk with him about joining SHIELD. I want to partner him up with you. You both worked good during the Chentaeri invasion."

Natasha just listen not saying anything. Yes she and Rodgers worked well together and he had saved her life. She could not deny she was also worried about him. During the short time she spent with him she came to respect him and consider him a friend. She learned during the battle of New York that she could trust him to have her back. He also knew that he trusted to be able to do her job. She was not sure about being partners, she preferred to work alone. Clint had been the only one she did not mind working with. Plus Rodgers was a soldier and she was a spy.

"I work alone and Rodgers is a soldier and I am a spy."

"I need someone who can keep up with him and he can depend on. I plan on him working with the strike teams also."

"I hate most of those guys. Their bullies."

"That's one reason I want him to work with them. He needs you to watch his back."

They talked for a little while longer before Natasha left to talk with Rodgers since she knew where he was. She had tried to keep up with where he was. She just decided not to tell Fury. She decided she would surprise him.

Steve was in his studio drawing. He had always found it relaxing. He was drawing scenes from the battle of New York. As he drawn he notice that most of them had been of Natasha. She and Banner had been the first two Avengers that he got to know. He would admit she was extremely beautiful and way out of his league. He was never good with woman. He always saw the 90lb weakling. He felt they had began to become friends and he trusted her in a fight.

He worked for a little while later drawing in his sketch pad. After he was done for the night he locked it up. These drawings were private. He headed to his apartment to fix dinner. He got a big surprise when he walked in and saw Natasha sitting on his coach with a smirk.

"So what do I owe the pleasure of your visit?"

Aren't you going to ask how I found you?"

"No because I known you have known where I have been from the beginning."

He got the satisfaction to see the surprise look on her face. She recover quickly but he caught the surprise look.

"I figured Fury would have someone keeping an eye on me."

"Who said Fury even knows where you are at."

"So you are going to tell me you are not here for Fury."

"I am but he only has idea of what area you are in, not your accrual location."

"So what can I do for SHIELD?"

"Fury wants you to come work for SHIELD. He thinks that it would be a good idea to partner us up together. He figures I have the best chance to keep up with you and more likely for you to trust me well enough to watch your back."

"I do trust you to watch my back. Not sure I want to work with SHIELD and there is still the Avengers. The ways Stark talks the Avengers are not done ad is remodeling his tower for them."

"Yes I have gotten a couple of e-mails inviting me to stay there. Not sure I want to. Though I do need to find a new place to live."

"I do have a couple spare apartments on this floor that are empty. The floor is secure also. Though not completely obviously not secure enough if you got in here."

"Do you think that any security you can put here will keep me out."

"Probably not."

"Listen Steve, just come talk to Fury. You don't have to make any decisions one way or another."

"I guess it couldn't hurt to talk with him. I also think I could survive being partnered with you."

"Funny old man."

"So what about the apartment, Romanoff?"

Steve ended up asking her if she wanted to stay for dinner since he was fixing to make it and she was already here. They had a nice evening talking about Steve's past but Natasha would not say much about hers. They arrange for Natasha to pick him up the next morning to meet with Fury.
