Hey, this is just a short story about Angie and Oscar sharing their love for each other. It's for Valentines day. Hope you enjoy!
Not As Important As You
Angie, as always, at 7:00 pm clocked out when her work was finished for the day. Even though there were still a few more fish left at the Whale Wash, it was pretty quite, and it was getting dark. The angelfish gave one last look at the Whale Wash with a smile, then left. It was a pretty busy day for everybody. Which means that Angie got a lot of calls. So she was tired; very tired.
As she was swimming home, Angie could hear the silent currents of the ocean. She looked around with curious eyes. She never realized how dark it got so fast. But she kept swimming when she heard a sound.
She stopped and looked around, searching for whatever she heard. She kept a straight face when she suddenly felt a small grip on her fin, and gasped.
"Are you ok," a familiar voice asked.
Angie was relieved that it was only her boyfriend, Oscar, and smiled. "I'm fine, but you scared me."
"I'm sorry," he replied, as he swam out in front of her.
"It's ok, Oscar. You didn't mean to scare me."
"No, I mean I'm sorry about today."
She gave him a straight face, ready to listen.
"It's been really busy, and we barely talked."
"Oh...that," she realized.
"Yeah, but..."
"That's ok. Work is important."
"Not as important as you."
Angie smiled at him. It was obvious that she was more important, because he came back just to check on her, because he never had the chance to talk to her at all.
Oscar smiled back. He was relieved that Angie forgave him. He knew she forgave him just by looking at her smile, and her eyes...which were very pretty. Just as pretty as her sparkles that sparkled especially at night. And most important, he knew her more than anybody else. Of course she would forgive him. She was the best friend he ever had.
"Oscar, I'm really glad you came after me."
"I am, too." Oscar came closer to her, and he and her shared a three second kiss, then held fins. "I'll swim you home."
And the two of them swam together, side by side.
I thought it was kind of crappy. Please tell me what I can improve on.
