Whispers in the Dark – Skillet
I chose this song because as I listen to it, I can imagine Max's Voice speaking to her when she needs direction. Also, the lyrics "When darkness comes I'll light the night withstars" shows how the Voice's instructions and directions aren't always straight forward, and that Max usually has to work to find out what it means. I make this connection because when I look at the stars, I have to look hard to find the constellations. I can then learn the constellations' stories. There is an example of this in 'The Angel Experiment' when the voice tells max that 'there's a pot of gold under every rainbow'. This was useful to max because the flock then finds out that the place they're looking for is in the sewers underneath them.
