Tales of waves and tangerines

Just a series of short stories, which circle around the ships navigator.

NamiCentric

...

Basically a bunch of short and long stories done in my spare time, about Nami and everyone around her, one shots based on either love or friendship, and even in between I guess, aha, whichever I feel like writing. Will mainly be either LuNa or ZoNa as I am massive fans aha, I might even throw in one or two individual based stories, depends.

I'm open to criticism and appreciate feedback, but please don't take these stories too seriously, enjoy :)

"I'll just ask, have you ever encountered a wild animal that you can guarantee will 'Never' bite a person? ...I haven't" -Roronoa Zoro

...

Zoro knows,

The swaying of her left arm caught his attention. His sharp eyes discreetly identifying the ugly jagged patch of skin, running along the side of her tattoo.

Lounging on deck has given Zoro the time, and the boredom to pick up things,

many things.

Zoro knows that gaze Luffy gives the sunset each and every evening, he knows every time he wakes to an empty hammock it's because he watches the sun rise every morning.

He knows that Ussop has nightmares each night, he knows the sound pacing of feet on deck is his way of dealing with the peace and quiet of the ship. Living two years in a place which demands alertness and instincts, is not something you can easily ignore after all.

The cook is the worst, hiding behind a trail of smoke to drown his stress, he sees how Chopper, and even Robin demand in so many words for him to slow down. He knows though, as soon as they leave he pays no heed to their warnings.

Zoro knows many things, and the crew has changed, through this they grow stronger, at least Zoro knows most of them will.

He sees her every time, the hand that rubs the darkened skin, the nails which graze and bite at the scar tissue. He sees every flinch, every twist in her expression and Zoro knows she does it so she will always remember, never forget the pain, holding on to the past, punishing herself; simply because she left her broken little family to follow her dream.

Luffy knows too, dense as he is, his instincts are never wrong, so the coincidental yank, or stupidity that happens every time she stops is something she needs. Truthfully He isn't entirely sure Luffy is fully aware of his actions, he never listened to her tale after all, so how would he know.

The only thing Zoro can do is watch, listen and wait, silence is his specialty after all, and patience is his game, so he watches her, waiting for her mental pain to become physical. It's frustrating, as Nami has always been his to protect.

But he trusts Luffy more than anyone.

Zoro knows though,

Zoro always knows,

she will soon come to him,

and he will be waiting for her.
