A Very Seigaku Christmas
I just like writing a Ryoma who seems actually twelve, so here is one. XD I tried my best to make him not seem like too old or too young or too much of an uke or anything - just a twelve year old. XD This is how I think the Seigaku dynamic should be (if I've managed to pull this off correctly~.)
x A Very Seigaku Christmas x 333 words
Ryoma's told that people grow apart with age.
His father did - he doesn't meet up with the people he met in the pro tennis scene at all, content to just amble around Japan and greet his old neighbours and live his life peacefully and in private.
His mother did too - she calls up her old high school friends sometimes, but they never have anything to say except small talk, and the conversations always end up with somebody saying 'Let's meet up for lunch', even though nobody arranges a lunch date.
Ryoma knows this won't happen to him though - he and the Seigaku regulars, they're friends for life, though he'd never say this to any of them - he'd sound too sappy. A twelve-year-old boy's got to have some pride, right? But he knows it's true - they're never going to grow apart. He knows this now, watching the other regulars - they're at a Christmas party, at his house, and Momo-chan-senpai is joking about with Kikumaru-senpai, eating something or another, and Fuji-senpai is bothering Tezuka-buchou, trying to give him a present, and Oishi-senpai is worrying since Kaidoh-senpai is looking flustered by what Inui-senpai is telling him, and Taka-san looks happy, handing out the sushi he made.
'Oi, Echizen, what are you doing?' Momo-chan-senpai notices Ryoma sitting down and runs over, ruffling the younger boy's hair. Ryoma objects, but he smiles anyway, and Momo-chan-senpai stares at Ryoma and laughs.
They're friends for life, definitely.
Ryoma gets up and joins the party, objecting when Fuji-senpai holds mistletoe over his head but smiling the whole time anyway, making Kikumaru-senpai tease him - this makes the smile fade away and then there is a bit of an argument, where Ryoma tells Kikumaru-senpai that he's stupid and kind of perverted, what, did he want Fuji-senpai to kiss him? There's just a lot of confusion and joking and laughing and a generally fun mood that Ryoma thinks is what friendship's all about.
And no amount of growing up will take that from them.

Hm, this isn't Christmasy at all. XD Oh well. How was it? Too sappy? Too lame? Too plain weird? Whatever you thought it was, please drop a review to tell me! ~awinchan
