Robin was walking home after working at his job at a lumber company on the outskirts of New York. Marian was back at the apartment taking care of Roland, Roland his beautiful little boy who is his only hope for getting him through this impossible situation. He had finally listened to his heart, and done what he should have done from the day Marian had come back from the dead. He had just been so shocked by her return, he was truly happy that she was alive. He had loved her, and knew he always would, plus she was Roland's mother. Roland deserved to have his Mother back, and his little boy had seemed very happy to have his Mother back, but Roland seemed disconnected from Marian. Roland was constantly asking about going back home, back to all his uncles in the Merry Men, back to Regina.
"Daddy, when are we going back to Regina? I miss her." Roland asked just yesterday.
"Roland, my boy, this is our home now." Robin tried to explain as much as he could to his son.
"But I want to go back to Storybrooke. Back to Regina. Don't you, Daddy?" Roland asked, not knowing how much he wanted to go back. Robin knew they couldn't ever go back, if there was a way back at all. Robin couldn't risk Marian's life, he knew he was sacrificing his happiness, along with his soul mate's as well.
"Daddy does want to go back, but our place is here now. If we were to go back your Mother would get sick again, and we can't have her getting sick again." Robin explained as gently as he could to his son.
"She doesn't like me Daddy, she's not like she was when she came back." Roland said.
"How so, Roland?" Robin asked. He clearly was not happy with his Mother now.
"She yells at me, Daddy." Roland said.
"Your Mother is in a new world, and it's going to take time for her to adjust to this world now. She might be a little impatient now, but she will get better Roland." Robin said.
"But I wasn't doing anything Daddy. I was watching the pictures on the box about you Daddy, she said I was a brat, and she yelled at me to turn it off that she had a head hurt. " Roland said.
"A headache. Roland let me talk to your Mother first." Robin said. He knew Marian was not adjusting well to this world, but to yell at Roland like that and call him names was going way to far.
Robin was almost to the apartment, when he decided to take a short walk through the park. He stopped at where a fallen tree limb was on the ground, it had moss on it. It reminded him of that fallen tree limb back in Storybrooke, where he had found Regina sitting on it one day, reading that letter. He found it one day after he had gotten into an argument with Marian to clear his head, he came here quite often as strange as it might be he felt closer to Regina here. After all this time he could still smell her perfume, he could still feel what her lips felt like under his. He could still feel her touch on his body, her hands on his cheeks after she kissed him. That last moment as he had crossed the line, watching her literally disappearing before his eyes, it had went through him for a split second to pull her over, but he couldn't do that. He couldn't take her from Henry.
So there he was sitting there, with his eyes closed, lost in his thoughts. The sun was just about to go down, the weather was still nice out in the evenings for now. When he felt something flicker in his heart, like it was being jump started. Something he had not felt in a very long time. And that is when he caught a trace of a fragrance, something he had not smelled in six weeks. But it couldn't be, she was lost to him, forever. Wasn't she? He slowly turned his upper part of his body around to look behind him. What he saw took his breath and caused his heart to stop for a split second.
"We have to stop meeting like this," Regina said as she stood there looking at him.
"You're really here," Robin said as he moved from the log and took a few steps towards her, Almost afraid that she would disappear in front of his eyes if he got to close to her.
"I'm really here," Regina said as she too started to walk towards him, stopping only a few inches before him. Robin raised one hand slowly to touch her face, as his fingertips were about to touch, he paused and prayed inside of him that he would feel flesh. He pressed forward and touched her warm cheek, causing him to break out into a smile and bite his lower lip with his teeth. She was real, she was here right in front of him. He spread kisses over her hair and her face, he cupped her jaw to raise it so he might look into her beautiful eyes, his crystal blue eyes revealing his love.
Regina smiled quickly as she saw him lean in and kiss her, his mouth came down in a kiss that was simultaneously demanding, arousing, comforting and the most longing. He raked his open mouth over her parted lips, letting her feel the sharp grate of his teeth, forcing her soft squeak of surprise back down her throat with long, deep, drugging kissed that cause an instant sensual overload. At some stage her arms had wound themselvers around his neck, her fingers fisted in the cool dampness of his hair. She softly let out of sound of disappointment when he pulled away from her suddenly, but not too far, just enough to look down at her face.
"I love you, Regina. I was not going to waste another second of having you back in my arms without letting you hear those words from me. From my heart," Robin said.
"It's about time you said it," Regina said with a smirk on her face, causing Robin to smirk back down at her.
"And do you have something to say to me, milady?" Robin asked as he raised his eyebrows to question her with.
"I know," Regina said.
"Regina," Robin said looking down into her eyes with determination.
"Alright, fine, you made me fall in love with you. What do you have to say about it?" Regina asked.
"Just remember who said it first," Robin said.
"Then just remember who kissed who first," Regina shot back at him, as he smiled before lowering his mouth down to hers once again. "Robin, there is something I have to tell you first, and this is going to come as a shock to you."
"Whatever it is, we can get through this, together." Robin said.
"Zelena is back," Regina started with.
"How is that possible?" Robin asked.
"How is not important right now, what is important is that she's pretending to be someone else." Regina said as she looked into his face, knowing she was about to see hurt there.
"Someone in Storybrooke?" Robin asked.
"No, someone here. With you," Regina answered. She braced herself as she saw comprehension on his face.
"Marian? She's pretending to be Marian? Why would she do that?" Robin asked.
"Because I promised my little sister that I would have everything that was hers," Zelena said, still in the form of Marian. She waved her hands and once again she was herself.
"How do you have magic here?" Regina asked as she walked to stand in front of Robin.
"There's more than one way to keep magic, little sister." Zelena said.
"Why would you do this?" Robin asked.
"Because I knew what would cause her the most pain. Loosing you would be the ultimate revenge," Zelena said.
"Where's my son?" Robin asked.
"I left your brat with that old hag across the hall." Zelena said.
"You're the real monster," Regina said as she went towards her sister.
"Not so fast," Zelena said as she used what little magic she had and sent her sister flying backwards. Robin went to her side instantly, cursing inside as he wished he had his bow and arrow.
"Regina," Robin said as he gently moved her to check on her.
"Now to finish you both off, poor little dimples. Lost his Mother, now his Father." Zelena said as she made a move to end them both.
"Hey, Green eyed Monster!" Emma called out as she distracted Zelena enough so that Hook could come up behind her and place Pan's black cuff on Zelena to stop her.
"No! I knew I should have killed you when I had the chance!" Zelena said at Hook as Emma and Hook grabbed Zelena.
"Is she alright?" Emma asked as they got up closer to Robin who was still bent over the unconscious Regina.
"She's not waking up. I need to get her to a doctor." Robin said as he gently picked up Regina.
"My car is on the other side of the park," Emma said.
"Roland," Robin said, he was worried about Regina, but he had his little boy to look out for as well.
"We'll get him on the way," Emma said as Robin gave her the address.
"There's a clinic just a minute from here, if you will pick up Roland and bring him to the clinic for me." Robin said as Emma nodded, Robin took off running towards the clinic, worrying more and more about Regina on the way there. Why wasn't she waking up? He couldn't loose her now, not when he just found her again.
A few minutes later he arrived at the clinic, carrying Regina in his arms. "Please help me!" He called out as he ran in.
"This way, sir. What happened to her?" A nurse asked as she showed Robin where to bring Regina.
"She was, in an altercation with someone. She's been out for several minutes now," Robin said as he gently placed Regina on the bed. The doctor came in a few moments later and received all the information Robin could give him.
"I'm going to take good care of her, if you would mind waiting in the waiting room." The doctor said.
"Please make her well, I can't loose her now." Robin said as he took one last look at Regina before leaving the room. He walked to the waiting room to see Emma and Roland there.
"Daddy!" Roland yelled as he ran towards Robin. He bent down and gathered up his son in his arms.
"Hey little man." Robin said. He hated that he would have to explain what had happened to 'Marian' to Roland. To have his 'Mother' back only to 'loose' her like this.
"Emma and Hook came and got me! Does this mean we can go back home now? What about Momma?" Roland asked.
"We'll discuss this later, right now Regina is sick. We're going to wait and make sure she's alright okay?" Robin asked.
"What's wrong with her?" Roland asked, as his little bottom lip started to tremble slightly.
"She's just not well, but the good doctors here are going to make her all better." Robin said.
"Promise?" Roland asked.
"I promise," Robin said as he hugged his little boy. "Zelena?" Robin asked to Emma.
"In the car with Hook." Emma answered.
"Mr. Mills?" The doctor called out as he came into the waiting room.
"I'm Robin, is Regina going to be alright?" Robin asked.
"She's going to be just fine. With a little rest and no more excitement like today." The doctor answered.
"Can I see her now?" Robin asked, clearly relieved.
"Sure, I'll take you back now." The doctor said as he took Robin to where Regina was. She turned her head as he entered the room.
"I was so worried," Robin said as he went to her and took kissed her forehead.
"Sorry about that, I'm usually tougher than this." Regina said.
"Well I'll let this one go this time, on one condition." Robin said.
"What?" Regina asked.
"You promise to never do this to me again." Robin said.
"What? Pass out?" Regina asked.
"Well for starters yes," Robin said.
"I hate to disappoint you, but I'm afraid there's a good possibility of that happening again." Regina said.
"I don't follow," Robin said, confused.
"Well from what I hear expectant mothers pass out sometimes," Regina said.
"Are you saying? Are we?" Robin asked as assorted of emotions flooded him then.
"Yes, we're going to have a baby." Regina said.
"I love you," Robin said as he leaned down gently to kiss her. Robin was so thankful that he had listened to what his heart was screaming at him all those weeks ago. When Will had told him that if he ever found anyone to ruin his entire life for, that it was always worth it. And Robin had done just that, he had fought for his true love, every day.
