Perfected to go as fast as possible, even her maglev wheels couldn't ever reach the speed GoGo needed them to at that moment. Her aerodynamic bike was just a yellow blur streaked with purple on the streets, and if she wasn't as precise at driving as she was(she calculated the speed, momentum and angles at all times to make sure she won't crash into anything), she could've easily ended up at her destination, just not the way she wanted.

The San Fransokyo General Hospital.

"Hey guys, I'm at the hospital..."

Hiro's voice rang in her ears. Earlier, he had called the group to tell them something.

"...they didn't know who he was, so they didn't tell us until now, but..."

GoGo could hear Hiro choking on his sobs, but she could identify happiness amongst the mixed emotions in his voice.

"...Tadashi, he's alive."

She replayed his last few words again and again in her mind as she sped on.

Tadashi, the person they mourned.

Tadashi, the person they avenged the 'death' of.

Tadashi. the person they thought was dead and gone forever for half a year.

Tadashi, the person who she claimed was their best friend.

Not 'was' anymore. He is.

But to GoGo, he was more than that. The memory of that day when it changed shot through her.

They had both had breakthroughs on their inventions - him on Baymax and her on her bike. "So you're still a child, Hamada," GoGo said simply, crossing her arms and watching Tadashi ran around his part of the lab, doing a victory dance. Still excited, Tadashi announced, "This is amazing, GoGo! We should celebrate!"

Silence landed as swiftly as the motion of Tadashi bending down and pecking her cheek.

After a few seconds, GoGo blew her bubblegum and snapped it with with a satisfying pop. "Hamada, that's your idea of a celebration?"

He just stood there, eyes widened, face blushed.

"Sure you don't want to celebrate a bit more?" she said, her face deadpan.

"I'm sorry -"

GoGo grabbed him by the collar and pulled him down and two pairs of brown eyes met each other on the same height level. If Tadashi was expecting a threat, he wasn't getting what he thought he was going to get. Instead, GoGo uttered a whisper, containing only two words: "Woman up."

Then lips smashed against lips.

After finding a parking spot for her bike, GoGo ran into the hospital to the front of the reception. A pleasant-looking young lady sat there. She saw GoGo and smiled politely.

"Good afternoon. How can I help -"

"Do you have a Tadashi Hamada?"

The receptionist typed in something on her laptop. "Yes, we do. His family is visiting him. Are they expecting y-"

"No. What's his room number?"

"Are you his fr-"

"Yes. We study at SFIT. My name is Go - Ethel. Ethel Tanaka."

"Well, Miss Tanaka, can I see your ID please."

In less than two seconds, without the fumbling about of normal people, GoGo had whipped out her ID card and showed it to the receptionist.

"Do you want the family to be informed of your visit?"

"No. Can you let me in after his family leaves?"

"Well, you need approval from them -"

"I don't want the to know." She needed to face Tadashi alone by herself.

"We can inform Mr. Hamada of your arrival after they leave, then tell you if he approves of your visit. Is that alright?"

"Yes, thank you." GoGo breathed a sigh of relief. Like any other hospital, there were rows of cushioned seats provided, placed against the walls. GoGo sat on one of them, her eyebrows knitted together with not just anticipation, but also worry and frustration.

Never liked hospitals. Ending up in one was never my fault for going fast, the other person just gets all panicky and crashes into me. Well, when I put it like that, it probably is my fault.

Hope Hamada's okay.

...Of course he's not, you idiot, he just survived a freaking fire that burnt down the entire showcase hall! He probably has scars and burns all over him and -

Stop.

She didn't want to imagine it. She wouldn't. She couldn't.

Have to keep myself busy to stop thinking about stupid things...

She took out her notebook, the one she always used when she needed to do her work. Now she needed to occupy herself. She thought for a moment, then started to write down equations for the speed of her bike at different angles and momentums.

Like a computer can't do that for you.

It's still better than doing nothing, she thought to herself.

So if it comes at a different angle and takes the same turn, the velocity would be... wait, what? ...Damnit. Brain jam.

GoGo tried to figure the out what the problem was, staring at her quick, messy handwriting. She never had time for fancy script writing like Honey Lemon did, or insist on computer typing(so every letter can be evenly spaced! said Wasabi), but she always preferred Tadashi's simple and ordinary handwriting.

Disgusted by another failed attempt, GoGo spit her gum out and tossed it in the bin as she hurled another disk away, causing Tadashi to duck under.

"Hey, you could've killed me there, GoGo! What's wrong?" Tadashi said, having a friendly smile on his face despite the shock.

"What do you think, Hamada?" She glanced at him, not pleased. "The wheel's gone wrong again, of course."

Tadashi walked over to get a look at her almost illegible writing. After half a minute or so, he tapped on a spot of the page. "Hey, look, Miss Physics Engineering made a careless mistake here."

GoGo smacked him on the shoulder, causing him to wince in pain. "Serves you right, smartass." She grabbed her notebook, and sure enough, she had made a mistake and Tadashi had found it.

"Aw, I'm hurt. You know you love me," Tadashi teased, causing GoGo to blush, and not just because she got a simple equation wrong. Pretending he didn't see GoGo's reddened cheeks, he continued, "It's probably because your handwriting's so messy. I mean, I'm surprised you even understand what you're writing, because I can hardly read it. You should write neater. Here's an example." He waved his hand, which held some of his notes, all of them neat and tidy.

The girl scoffed. "You know I don't have time for that, Hamada. I have to go -"

"- fast," Tadashi completed her sentence. "Of course. Everyone knows that. It's the reason Fred gave you your nickname. Am I not right, Ethel?"

He earned another punch on the shoulder.

GoGo shook her head, as if she was trying to shake the thoughts away. What was wrong with her today?

She continued on, making herself completely distracted.

After two hours of writing, erasing and scribbling out, GoGo saw two familiar figures passing by from the corner of her eye. One of them was a brown-haired woman in her thirties while the other one was a short, scrawny boy who seemed no more than twelve, with a mop of thick, messy black hair on his head that she would recognise anywhere.

Aunt Cass and Hiro...

Instictively, GoGo ducked her head down, hoping Hiro won't see her. In his call, he asked the group to not visit Tadashi yet, but GoGo had come anyway.

Feeling a glance being shot at her, GoGo lifted her head a bit and peeked at Hiro. If he had seen her, he didn't say anything about it, because he and Aunt Cass were still silent.

Maybe he understands... Thanks, bonehead.

Wait, if Tadashi's family is leaving, then... I'll be seeing him soon.

A few minutes later, GoGo heard the receptionist call her name. "Miss Tanaka?"

"Yes?" Her heart hammered against her chest with anticipation.

"Mr. Hamada's family has left, but visiting hours are over..."

Oh no.

Please let me see the idiot. Please let me see him. Please...

"...however, after knowing that you intend to visit him, he has requested to see you. You have ten minutes. His room number is on the third floor, room 308."

Yes!

Letting out a word of thanks from her mouth, GoGo sprinted her way to the stairs - lifts were too bothersome, she'd have to wait - and raced up the three flights of stairs. Soon, she found herself standing in front of the door marked with the numbers "308" on them.

A mere second of hesitation(There's nothing to think about any more, she told herself), then GoGo yanked down the door handle and pushed the door open. She continued to stand there, frozen, staring at the person lying on the bed, who stared back at her and gave her a familiar smile.

It's him.

GoGo had no idea what to expect, so she had no idea how to react to the Tadashi in front of her. This Tadashi had bandages wrapped around his arms, hands and forehead. An ugly burn crept up from the back of his neck to reach and lie over half of the left part of his face. But this Tadashi still had his bright, kind smile forgiving, warm brown eyes - no, only an eye. His left eye was bandaged over, probably too seriously injured from the burn.

This Tadashi looked so different, but he still looked the same.

He was the same Tadashi.

The same Tadashi she talked with every day since entering SFIT, the same Tadashi she had mourned, the same Tadashi she had missed, the same Tadashi she had loved, the one she would keep on loving.

GoGo tried to restrain her tears from dropping. She had always been known as the strong, tough one.

But there were exceptions, and this, of course, was one of them.

Before she knew what was happening, her cheeks were wet, the warm fluid still flowing, her body thrown over the top of his, her arms wrapped around him tightly as he returned a warm embrace.

GoGo didn't want to talk. She wouldn't. She couldn't.

She felt Tadashi plant a loving kiss on her forehead, then heard his warm voice. The one she thought she would never hear again.

He uttered a whisper, containing only two words.

"Woman up."

Constructive criticism is appreciated, especially as this is my first time writing anything remotely romantic(and why it's probably terrible).
