"Hey, Lisanna. I think that Lucy has a crush on Gray." Mirajane says as she wipes the bar alongside her sister.
"Really? Why do you say that?" Lisanna asks.
"They've been shooting each other glances, and they'd look so CUTE together!" The elder sister squeals, putting a hand on her heart. "They should be together!"
"They would, wouldn't they, Mira-nee?"

"Hey, Elf-nii! Do you need help setting the dinner table?" Lisanna asks, walking into the kitchen.
"No! It's a MAN'S JOB to set the table!" He yells in reply, putting one fist in the air.
"Oh..." She thinks for a second, trying to find a topic to talk about with her brother. She snaps her fingers as she remembers something her sister had said. "Elf-nii! Do you think Lucy has a crush on Gray?"
He stops what he's doing, letting the information sink in. Then, he smiles.
"CRUSHING IS MANLY!"

"LUCY WILL CRUSH GRAY!" Elfman yells, watching the guild brawl from beside Evergreen.
She hits him over the head with her fan. "No, you ignorant oaf! She'd never even fight him, let alone crush him!"
"LISANNA SAID THAT LUCY WOULD CRUSH HIM, AND WHATEVER SHE SAYS GOES!" He yells.
"Besides," he whispers, "She can be kind of scary..."

"So," Evergreen says, sitting around a table in the guild with the Thunder God Tribe, eating their dinner. "Elfman kept spouting out today that Lucy was going to defeat Gray. It was so stupid! She'd never be able to do that!"
"I don't know about Lucy..." Freed starts. "But Laxas-sama certainly could!"
"Gettin' cozy in with Elfman, Ever?" Bixlow teases.
Laxus simply sits by, listening to the information carefully. After finally being back home, he wants to know everything that he can.

"Laxus is going to challenge Gray to a fight." Macau whispers to Wakaba.
The blonde spits the pipe out of his mouth and onto the floor. "Why would Laxus do that?! He's already stronger than Gray!"
"I don't know... I heard Freed and Evergreen say something about it, and he didn't deny it!"
"This is going to be a disaster! Ice and lightning - it'll destroy the guild!"

"Hey, Wendy!" Romeo yells to the blunette as he walks towards her.
"Huh? Ah, hello, Romeo! How are you?" She asks, looking up from a book Levy had given her and smiling shyly.
"I'm fine! I've just been wondering if the rumours are true."
Wendy gives him a look of confusion. "What rumours?"
"The ones about Gray and Laxus getting into a fight. They aren't particularly close, but I don't know why they would..." He trails off.
"Uh.. I haven't heard anything about it, but if I do, I'll tell you." She nods, giving a look of unneeded, yet firm determination.
He smiles at her. "Thanks!"

"Carla, have you heard the rumours?" Wendy asks the Exceed on their way home.
"What rumours?" Carla asks.
"The ones about... um, I think it was about Laxus and Gray getting into an argument..."
"I don't know. I'm sure it's nothing you need to bother yourself with, Wendy." She tells the bluenette.
"Oh..." she says, her hopes of finding out shot down. "Okay."

"Male-cat! Get away from me!" Carla yells, crossing her arms with an attitude.
"But Carla! Why won't you accept my fish?" Happy whines, depressed about her not taking the fish already.
"Just get away! If you do... I'll give you information on the rumors!"
He tilts his head slightly. "What rumour?"
"The one about Laxus and Gray breaking into an apartment! If I tell you about it, will you leave me alone?!"
He puts his hand on his chin for a moment, contemplating what to say, then nods. "Okay!"
She didn't think he'd give in that easily.
"Well... they broke into Lucy's apartment!" She lies, silently cursing herself for being a bad role model.
"Really? I'll go tell Natsu!"

"Hey, Natsu! Have you heard the rumour?" Happy asks his pink haired friend on their way to Lucy's house.
"What rumour? There are tons in the guild!" Natsu asks.
"The one about Laxus and Gray breaking into Lucy's apartment! I bet they destroyed everything!"
"Really? We should go tell Erza!"
With that, he runs back to the guild, leaving Happy sulking behind.

"Erza! Guess what?!" Natsu yells as he sits down beside her.
"What, Natsu?" She asks.
"Did you hear the rumour?"
She furrows her eyebrows. "What rumour?"
"The one about Laxus and Gray breaking into Lucy's apartment and destroying everything. Are you going to punish the stripper?"
She puts her fist to her chest. "Thank you, Natsu. I'll keep sure that they're handled accordingly."

Erza stands up from the table after getting this new information
"Laxus! Gray! How dare you break into Lucy's apartment, destroy her dignity, and destroy everything inside!?"
Complete silence. Everybody stares at her.
"What are you talking about, Erza?" Laxus asks, standing up from his seat.
"I didn't do that! Did Flame Brain tell say I did?" Gray asks, glaring at Natsu.
She ex-quips a sword. "Natsu decided to admit it to me. He wouldn't do that without reason! You are to be punished!"
She ex-quips into her Heaven's Wheel armor, and Laxus flashes out of the room in lightning, leaving only Gray.
