WRG: Hey, I had to write a creation story for my English class and decided to write the backround for Taurus. Hope you like it. Oh, Sam is descended from Hearthra.

Once, a long time ago (before there was a written language that humans could understand), magical creatures lived out in the open. Creatures such as dragons, unicorns, griffins, elves, dwarves, and many, many others coexisted quite well with the humans. Then, one day, the humans became greedy. They started to hunt the magical animals and enslave the human-like ones. The elves were forced to prophesize things and do the work that took the humans hours in seconds. The dwarves were made to make tools for the humans. The dragons, griffins, and unicorns were hunted for their meat, and their skins were used as trophies.

One night, the elves called a secret meeting while the humans slept. They knew, if the present treatment of the magical creatures continued, every single thing would be destroyed. They used the meeting to come up with ideas to stop the treatment. Many believed that they had to destroy their enemies before being destroyed themselves. However, one of the younger elves, Hearthra, did not agree. Hearthra knew that something terrible would happen if either the magical creatures or the humans were wiped out. Before the rest of her kind voted on the idea to destroy the humans, she spoke up. "Perhaps we do not have to destroy the humans. What if we were to separate all of them from us. We could create a new world where there would not be a single human to harm or enslave us. One that was similar to this one. We could bring a few of the animals that are not able to wield the magick like we as food for the predators."

This was something none of the other elves had considered. Elves are not violent creatures by heart, so they all liked Hearthra's idea more than the idea for a war that it was not certain they would win. One elf saw that the dawn was coming, so they all agreed to meet the next night. Every elf returned to his or her home to do the work the humans set for them. However, not all of the elves could return to work. Hearthra's grandfather—the oldest and most respected elf—was dying. Her grandfather was the only family she had left. "Granddaughter," he called from his death bed, "I know that I will die today." Hearthra rushed to his side and held his weakened hand.

"Grandpapa, you have to hold on, just a little longer."

"I am very sorry, child, but I can feel the magick pulling me back. Help in the creation of our new world. Make it beautiful." He kissed her hand, let out a final breath, and died. Hearthra resolved to do as her grandfather had asked.

That night, Hearthra told the others what had happened. The elves, after offering their condolences, began to call upon the magick. They wove strands of it to have mountains, caves, rivers, and rolling plains. It was made to look beautiful, just as their elder asked. Hearthra, because the new world was her idea, was made its queen and given power over the naming of the world. She named it Taurus in honor of her grandfather. The elves called all of the magical creatures and a few of the non-magical animals into the portal to Taurus. Eventually the humans forgot about the existence of these creatures, calling them creatures of myth.

WRG: Well, hope you liked it. Unfortunatly, I have quite a few busy classes, so I don't know when I'll be posting anymore of my stories. Sorry. Review if you want.
