"Matt! Where is that chocolate I asked you to buy me two hours ago!?"
"It wasn't two hours ago..."
Muttering to himself with an annoyed tone in his voice, the redhead walked over to the couch that was occupied by a lazy blonde, who was busily reading the newspapers on any potential leads to their current target. Shifting his goggles to lay nestled against his hair, Matt sighed and leaned down to speak to him.
"Mel, can't you just go and buy it yourself? You are turning into L more and more everyday, I cannot serve you whatever you desire all day..."
"... did L call?"
Groaning to himself, the goggle-wearing young man glared at his boyfriend/friend who loved to see him suffer, and actually dared to pout. Moving to sit across him on the other couch, he shook his head.
"No. He is too busy trying to prove that Light Yagami is Kira..."
"... hmm... Matt, where is that chocolate?"
Despite wanting to facepalm and maybe hit his head on the table due to the blonde's one-track mind, the redhead did get up and head over to their small, makeshift kitchen to get him the desired treat. Dumping it onto his suddenly annoyed head, Matt smirked.
"There you go."
Mello glared at him as he finally sat up and smirked back, reaching out for his hand, almost in slow motion.
"Why thank you, great dork of my heart. Or shouldn't it be the brain because that's where all emotions.."
He was shut up by a kiss and snort as they fell apart into a laughing fit that couldn't be stopped no matter what. Life was good as long as they had each other and their teasing ways.
And it would last forever...
