We were battling the Yeerks, just the 2 of us, in the same battle, the others were in another battle somewhere else. We were being cornered on a cliff. I covered Rachel so the Yeerks wouldn't be able to attack her while she demorphed to morph to her grizzly. Suddenly Visser One morphed his Galah morph (AN: I think that's the name of the thing that he changed into when he killed Elfangor, tell me peeps coz I cant find my copy of the 1st book so I can't check, sorry if its wrong!) He grabbed her, but not before she could say one thing:. Her last words were I love you. To me. She loved me and I never could tell her that I loved her back. Then he - he ate her. Rachel died a warrior's death. She died like Prince Elfangor Sirinal-Shamtul, my father.

"You did WHAT?!" I yelled, surprising them all. For once I was out of my hawk body. "It's ok, chill, man" Marco said obviously uprooted by all this yelling from the usually calm people of the group. "Chill? CHILL? You want me to CHILL when I find out the person who killed Rachel???" "Hey, hey hey!!! Cassie doesn't want Rachel, any more then the rest of us!" Jake was obviously perturbed at my attack at Cassie and wanted to defend her in any way. But I had had enough. I turned to Cassie.
"You don't know what her last words were do you?!"
She shook her head, mute for the time being.
"She said, she said I love you. To me. And now she'll never know I love her back."
There was stunned silence following my announcement. I began to sob, making up for all the times I could never cry as a hawk.
"Oh, Tobias, I never knew.I'm so sorry, I never wanted her to die." And Cassie began to cry with me, her tears showing her pain.. The silence was a thick, suffocating blanket. The only sound in the room was Cassie and my's sobbing. Suddenly I had had enough. I changed into the hawk I knew so well quicker then I ever had before. I flew out of the barn, one note on the air one note to show my pain, in the only way a hawk could show its emotions, I cried out into the night, then it too faded into the night.
"TSEER!"
