Cliff Huxtable gathered the family together in the living room. "I have some exciting news! Uncle Herbie is coming to town!"

"I didn't know we had an Uncle Herbie. Will he bring us presents?" Rudy asked, with her usual cloying cuteness.

"He's not really your uncle, Rudy." Claire explained. "He and your father grew up together. He moved to California, and we don't see him nearly as often as we would like to."

"Uncle Herbie is one of the greatest jazz pianists around. And he invited us to see him play tonight at the Vanguard!" Cliff said with excitement.

The kids all showed enthusiasm except for Theo, who scowled "Jazz? That's for old folks Dad! Kids today like rap music!"

"We'll just see how you feel about jazz when you hear Uncle Herbie play! And who knows? Maybe his pretty daughter will be there too!" Cliff suggested.

"You know? Jazz doesn't sound that bad after all." Theo replied, to uproarious laughter.

(Cut to interior of jazz club. HERBIE HANCOCK and his band are playing Canteloupe Island in its entirety, as the camera pans on the happy faces of the Huxtable family. Theo is nodding. Cliff is swaying delightedly. Clare is looking seductive. Rudy does a cute little dance. Then the piece ends, to wild applause.)

Herbie takes the microphone and announces "Ladies and gentleman, we have a very special guest in the audience tonight. Dr. Heathcliff Huxtable is here with his charming family. Cliff and I used to jam together back in the day. Cliff, I was wondering if you could come up and play drums with us for our next number."

Cliff feigns shyness and then, pushed by his family, approaches the stage. The group launches into a rousing rendition of Caravan, and Cliff plays a lengthy drum solo, as the closing credits roll.
