I don't own a thing!

Slytherin isn't the house of evil kids, it's the house of unloved kids. The kids whose parents don't give them a hug, nor a kiss to the forehead. No encouraging words or comforting gestures. It's the house with lonely kids who find comfort in their own house. In the safety of their common room, they huddle by the fire and it's okay. When it gets too much there is always a shoulder to cry on. It's okay to crawl in each others beds if you had a nightmare and chocolate is always there to help you feel better.

When they are outside the mask is on- the pure blood arrogance and the sneer is in place. You don't see the small hand squeezes they exchange when someone calls them evil nor the hurt that flashes in their eyes.

Perhaps you should pay more attention.

Ravenclaw is not the house of heartless kids, it's the hose of insecure kids. The kids whose parents are harsh and they keep comparing them to themselves or another member of the family. The kids whose parents are never satisfied with them and to them they are never good enough. It's the house of low self esteemed kids who find trust in their own house.

In the safety of their common room it's okay to not want to do homework. There is always butterbeer that no one knows who provides it. It's okay to break the rules once in while.

When they are outside the mask is on- the strict attitude and the gathering place is the library.

You don't see the pain when they don't get a good mark nor the worried expressions because everyone excepts the best from them.

Perhaps you should pay more attention.

Gryffindor is not the house of reckless kids, it's the house of confident and maybe afraid kids. Kids whose parents teach them to stand for themselves. The kids who face their fears. They are not fearless, but they learn to not hide from it.

In the safety of their common room, it's okay to be afraid of a spider. Junk food is always available when they don't want to face the rest of the students and no one knows who provides it. It's normal to do homework at time and care for classes.

When they are outside the mask is on- reckless lions who don't care about the rules. You don't see how they cower slightly in the DADA class when the boggarts show nor the flinch when someone raises their voices on them.

Perhaps you should pay more attention.

Hufflepuff is not the house of weak kids, it's the house of wise kids. Kids whose parents tell them the difference between right and easy. They are brave, but they knew when to stop. They are smart, not book smart, but street smart and they are very sneaky when they want to. How do you think they get the firewhisky?

There is no mask really. Maybe they are the most stable kids in Hogwarts. Yes they have their differences and disagreements, but it doesn't mean they fight and stop talking to each other.

Perhaps the other houses should pay more attention.
