I was confused and alone and I felt like some part of me was missing. I, John, had woken up and looked around, everything was cubes. There were so many blocks I couldn't have counted them all. The thick grass was very tall and the sandy hills stacked about me in every direction. I saw a great big blue sky arching over a very bright sun. The grass was a strong dark green. There were a few sheep and cows on the hilly plains with some red and yellow flowers, scattered around me. But I couldn't smell them and I couldn't tell whether I was feeling hot or cold. I saw a very welcoming oasis, with its sparkling water that seemed to waver at the edge of consciousness, but it was so far away. I started running across the plains towards the oasis. I couldn't feel the grass as I moved through it, but I could hear it swishing. After a while I couldn't run anymore and had to slow to a walk. I was passing through the red and yellow flowers. I noticed a pond to my left and stopped to look into it. There were some lily pads on the surface and when I jumped on them they supported my weight. I plunged off into the water. It was very clear and I watched lots of bubbles swim up past me. I climbed out and wandered past a group of cows blocking my route around the pond. Soon after my world started shaking around me.
A second small pond appeared on my right and I pushed my way through another crowd of mooing cows. I wondered what the cows ate to survive. One of the cows to my right fell into the pond and got stuck under an overhang and disappeared. I walked around the side of the pond and saw something in the clear water, but I couldn't find the cow anywhere.
