A Broken Mind
"Good morning Shadowblade." Optimus said groggily, rubbing the sleep from his left optic.
She looked over her shoulder, noticing the groggy prime and smiled.
"Good morning Optimus!" She said softly but happily, trying not to wake up anyone else in the base.
He just smiled. She was up so early and he just woke up, still trying to reboot his systems. She turned around and went back on to searching for an energon signal. Life energon, like she was looking for someone. His systems immediately booted up.
"Who's signal are you looking for?" He asked.
She didn't answer. He moved next to her.
"Blade, how long have you been up, and who are you looking for?" His tone was serious and he stared intensely at her. She could feel his stare and quickly thought of a solution.
"I'm looking for anymore autobots to help or decepticons to eliminate." She said, plainly, trying to hide her true intent.
"Shadowblade. I know you're lying." He said and put his hand on the keyboard to stop the tracker.
She glared up at him. He glared back. They stared and neither of them wanted to back down, but Shadowblade gave in, since he was stopping the tracker. She sighed deeply and her eyes wandered behind him.
"I wanted to find Starscream. And I started doing it once everyone went to recharge. I miss him, Flamewing misses him. And I haven't heard from him in weeks. I'm worried." She confessed.
The prime sighed and rested his large servo on her shoulder. She looked into his optics and he stared back.
"I understand. You are worried and also want your sparkling to have a father." He sympathized, or tried.
She nodded and Optimus removed his hand from the keyboard. He pressed a button and the tracker continued it's search.
"Optimus," She said in a soft tone,"If he's injured, would I be able to bring him back?"
He glanced down and nodded.
"He may be a decepticon, but if he is in need, we will help." He gave her a reassuring smile.
She smiled back and they both looked when the computer started to bing softly. It had a weak signature that seemed to be blocked from a cave. He was halfway across the country, in Appellation mountains. She pressed a different button and pulled the switch down, opening the ground bridge. The green and white colors swirled and overflowed from the portal. She glanced at the prime, asking for permission. He nodded slowly. She looked forward and walked through.
I'M BACK! This is the first story, I'll finish it, start for the second one, A Broken Heart, then finish with Where Butterflies Never Die then be done and move on. R&R Please!
