It's really a long time since I've written something, so I hope you like it (: So, this takes place after Wannabe In The Weeds and before Pain In The Heart.

Sorrow and Love
She sat on a bench at the reflecting pool at the Lincoln memorial.
It rained, but she didn't care, she just needed to get all her feelings washed away.
"How could this happen to me? I never even got a chance to tell him how much he meant to me." She said to herself.
It was pouring down, and she was soaked through.
"Wish you were here, me oh my country man, wish you were here!" She sang quietly.
"Booth, why did this happen to you? To me!?" She burst into tears.
"I don't know Temperance. Why did this happen to us?" She stood and turned quickly
"Booth!!? You're..Supposed..You're supposed to be.." She could get the last word out.
"Dead? Yeah, well, I know that. But what matters is that I'm here now, not that I'm supposed to be dead." He didn't like the word either.
"But how, Booth?" Brennan needed explanation.
"Not now Bones, another time."
Booth took Bones' hand and walked with her to his car.
"I'm here. Alive! Isn't that enough?" Booth asked.
"Yeah, I suppose."
"Alive, is what I am. After what happened and after being separated from you, for more than a couple of days. I realized how much you mean to me, and that I never want to let go of you!"
She looked up at him with tears in her eyes.
"You don't know how much you...mean to me!" she almost whispered, almost as she didn't want him to hear it.
"Bo— Temperance?" He put a finger under her chin.
She looked at him once again, the tears were still there, mixed with the rain.
Booth leaned in and kissed her. Something he had wanted to do for God knows how long.
He could feel it, she kissed him back.
Standing in the rain, kissing, not caring how soaked they were, they found the unexpressed love in each other's heart.
